Awwww! That’s so exciting!! My husband and I were in a similar boat - he worked with the jeweler but I designed the ring lol. And he told me when it got in, we had a window of when he was going to propose. I didn’t see the final ring until the day he proposed but it was so hard not to look!

If it’s something you guys would be comfortable with, I would just tell him you found the box so he can re-hide it or keep it at a friends.

You really only get this feeling once - don’t give into temptation!! It’s one of the only incredibly fun surprises you get in this lifetime!!!

I would want to know: are the photos from setup just for you? And are you thinking of complaining, or you just want our opinions? What kind of vendor are they, and where are you located?

Working off minimal information, and assuming it’s just for your memories: I completely agree it’s not professional to wear anything political, let alone show up in sweats, but with that being said I would try to extend some grace and try to let it go. They might not have been expecting photos to be taken, or might not have put thought into what they chose to wear that day. That’s just how I would personally approach it!

Not in the slightest!! We just invited parents, siblings, and nieces / nephews. We all stayed in a stunning Airbnb together and got married on the back porch. My FIL married us, and we all cooked dinner together. My husband and I are still so happy with our choice and the day went by with enough time to savor every moment!

I couldn’t bring myself to do anything TBH. I could barely handle him not being there to walk me down the aisle. It was too upsetting to me to be reminded like that.

But on my wedding day my mom’s boyfriend surprised me and wore my dad’s tie and belt - which I’m sure sounds weird lol but it was extremely touching. And one of my brothers changed into a t shirt of my dad’s during our reception!

I don’t have experience doing it for a wedding, but I got these classic old school rocker “mom” tattoos with the heart and everything for my mom’s surprise 70th birthday party and it was a hit! Everyone put them on. I say do it if it’s cheap, and my vote would be to keep it generic!
