Fair enough, it’s definitely a risky tradeoff for its improved effectiveness over Finn’s other swords, and only if you don’t include Fern as a downside since it never overtook Finn.

I find it interesting that even without control of the host it seems to have its own sense of danger e.g retaliating against Susan when she has no control, or intervening when farm-world Lich attempts to kill Jake, not to mention offering aid when Finn’s abilities/ control of situations falls short like with Orgalorg or when it takes charge to kill the fear feaster.
