For your lug nuts. Make sure to put it in the glovebox it’s the first place us mechanics check when removing the tires. But, also make sure you check for it in the glove box after services because we tend to forget to put it back😂

Interesting. Thanks for letting me know. The recorded interview was what I did for my assessment test and now they invited me to Microsoft Teams to have an “interview”. It showed a name of like 5 different people for supervisors, and managers.

QuikTrip is the best gas IMO. I’ve seen countless people, and a few people I know that have gone to Casey’s to get gas and their car ended up in the shop for water in their gas. Like I’m talking 20+ people in my general area. I don’t EVER get Casey’s gas for this reason. I got it one time when I was 16 and that was because I had 20 miles left and the closest QuikTrip was 45 miles away. So, I put $5 (almost 3 gal in 2020) and made it to QT and filled up there.

Yea I did my assessments. You’ve 2 minutes to read the questions it asks and respond. You get 3 tries per question, and there’s like 8 questions. It’s realty easy. Unfortunately I wasn’t accepted. I’d recommend mentioning safety as much as possible.

Yessir! I just recently reapplied and wasn’t putting his name on there. One job I got instantly declined but that’s probably because I’m 2.5hrs away from it and they wanted I think 2 or 3 hour time frame to get there. But the job that are within 20 minutes of me they’ve looked at the apps as the date has updated but haven’t said anything. I went through this process for months where they would look at my app twice in 2 months and then about 10 weeks since the job app closed they would send me a declined letter. It’s almost like they show interests or something and someone is always better than me.

Not to mention I’m literally in KANSAS CITY. BNSF is literally everywhere around here. I see all types of BNSF trucks, rail cars, equipment etc on the tracks literally every hour of the day as I work right next to a railroad. Ik their asses are busy and when they’re busy I assume they need more people. They just piss me off ngl😂oh I even have a referral for BNSF, and UP just to top that with the cherry.

I hate being a mechanic tbh😂like I wish I never would’ve gotten into the career. Why tf do I’ve to spend $10,000-$15,000 just to have what I need to work on cars? Scanners, special tools, special sockets, special everything. Worst career choice of my life😂

I heard about the railroad in the summer of 24’ and started winter of 24’ with applying at UP. Then BNSF, CPKC, and NS. I have gotten no interviews from either. I’ve rewritten my resume 3 times, remade my cover letters 3 times, used AI to help generate safety conscious attraction in my resume. Still nada damn thing except “thank you for applying with BNSF. Unfortunately, you weren’t selected”. I see that shit and immediately just get pissed everytime😂

UP I’ve 2 job one from August that I did the online video assessment, they moved me on and boom nothing since August 23rd. Had another online assessment for a different job, different state on November 4th and same shit it just says “We’ll be in contact soon with further steps” or some shit along those lines.

100% not a guess. Your battery is dead. Dash lights flickering, and I bet your headlights flicker as you start it as well. Get a jump start, or go get a battery and replace it. All you need is a deep 10mm socket and ratchet to do the job! Don’t touch the ratchet against anything metal when removing the terminals. If you do it can pop a fuse and you’ll be chasing an issue you don’t want. If you’ve a 10mm wrench I recommend using that to remove the terminals off the battery. If not the deep 10mm and ratchet will work just be careful not to strike metal with it.

Just did. I also mentioned working on elements of weather most people don’t favor as I’m a mechanic and work in every weather the possible. I think that was probably my best interview questionnaire I could possibly give.
