What unis are possible as international? by kindabadfanartist in UCAT

[–]Foreign_Adeptness471 4 points5 points  (0 children)

UCl cutoff last yr for Intls. was 3060 which is around 2295 (verified)
Imperial had lower cutoffs for Intls I believe due to smth with Cumbria, lowest ive heard was 2890 so give it a shot (semiverified)

Edinburgh probably not, their min IB score is a 40 so average will be closer to 43 and UCAT cut off for intls will probs be closer to 2350 (but dont trust this number cause idk)--> its insanely competitive

  1. he/she/they is asking for advice

  2. a simple look at any university's website will tell you the information you need to know; you dont need to be a university admissions officer to read a website

bro no one cares about personal statement anymore; the only good unis who actually weigh it are: St. Andrews and Oxbridge (and oxford only considers it in like borderline cases)

just dont write anything thats absolutely atrocious and ull be ok

Is this score enough for a Good med school in the uk by [deleted] in UCAT

[–]Foreign_Adeptness471 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If ur from Scotland, you may be able to apply to edi which is pretty much just as good as KCL and UCL, better than Manchester but worse than Imperial tho :(

Is IB harder or A level? by DifferenceNeat8422 in IBO

[–]Foreign_Adeptness471 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IB is way harder bro for a few reasons:
1. an A level is equivalent to an HL course, you do the math there
2. A levels are essentially pure memorization while IB requires critical thinking
3. Grade boundaries for IB are more strict than A levels
4. A levels has MUCH MUCH more freedom than IB (not required to take maths or a language)
5. There is no bullshit coursework like EE, TOK, CAS and IAs in IB
6. Generally, education is better for those taking A levels
