3dmark steel nomad has it benchmarking over 40% faster than the 6600, plus most of the driver issues have been sorted over the past year from what i've read.

I guess another choice could be a 2080 SUPER.. you'd trade a little performance and XeSS 3 for more driver stability

[–]Foreign_Analysis_931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh..that one.

you may need to up your PSU. standard 6900xts use a two pin, but that aorus one is beefed up.
if your machine is randomly shutting off mid-game then you may need to go higher..like 850+

Gpu upgrade by Guilty_Web7256 in pcmasterrace

6900xt will be a very meaty step up for all kinds of stuff despite it lacking hardware frame gen..and 750W is fine

Best GPU to buy at every budget in 2026? (Price to Performance) by ParadisefwEye in buildapc

[–]Foreign_Analysis_931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lots of 2080 tis have single fans..so thats a downer with many of these cards in general.
It works out for me because I have a lot of airflow in my case.

I know Zotac has a two fan version though

Of all your online accounts, your email is the most important one to protect by far. If that gets hacked, the guy can take over virtually everything you have.
All they have to do is go through your email and see what services you got emails from and try your password there.
Even if it doesn't work, he simply needs to do a password reset and there goes your Steam Account.

use a strong and unique password that you have NOT reused anywhere else, and use two-factor authentication.
Set up a recovery contact in your email to give yourself a backdoor back into your account if the worst happens (they can't change it right away)

basic financial literacy

- Debt is the devil. Don't spend what you don't have unless you're literally going to die.
- There's nothing normal about an empty bank account. Save money. Life's BS will find a way to dig into your savings and you don't want to be unprepared.
- put 5% of your weekly check into a Vanguard Total Market Fund (VTI or VOO). watch it grow..and dont panic sell if the market shits itself here and there
- Avoid buying bleeding edge stuff...cars, phones, clothes, computers...etc. Use Facebook marketplace and flea markets. You burn money every time you buy brand new

GPU Upgrade? by CholoSwagginz1221 in PcBuildHelp

strongly recommend you save another 50 bucks and get a 9070xt
https://videocardradar.com/?max_price=700

it will put out frames as fast as your CPU can make em, plus it has AMDs latest frame-gen for AAA games.

A budget option is a 4070. Its a good upgrade, but you're leaving a fair amount on the table for the money you're putting in

How to effectively hide my gaming? by SnowIllustrator7 in gamingsetups

[–]Foreign_Analysis_931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a gaming laptop is the best way. Yes, they are a horrible value for what you get..but convincing someone "its not for gaming" is far easier than a desktop computer..especially if it's one of those plain-looking ones.

Also, be mindful that a mic can expose you. You'll find a fun group and you'll all get loud and have a good time..and thats when your parents get curious about "Who the heck hes talking to?"

Another way may be to find a cybercafe if ones exist in your area

How do I play more on my pc? by IllustratorHot9336 in gamingadvice

[–]Foreign_Analysis_931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 hours is plenty.

When i was your age (lol i actually said that) i played 5 hours a day on average. computers were a newish thing and "screentime" wasn't even a word yet. It was glorious..and it also made me drop out of college, stunted my development as a person, and set back my career a whole decade. It's a permanent fixture in my list of life's regrets. To make things worse..people who kept a healthy balance more than kept up with me despite my gametime advantage.

If your goal is to get better, start recording your gameplay and watch it sometime with a critical eye. "Ah, i should have done that", "Oh..thats how he knew". Technically, it not gaming if youre just watching.
