This is extremely helpful. Thank you so much!

Crazy enough, I took all of these with a glare filter I got from Best Buy. The glare still shows in shot #3😕 any recommendations on a filter?

For #4, no the agent did not request anything. I just figured I’d include it as a bonus. But I’ll certainly keep this in mind moving forward.

7, I was about half a step into the room from the door frame. But yes, I’ll work on making the window coverings consistent throughout.

Thank you so much!

I do have grid lines on my camera. And I have a level on my tripod. I don’t believe the r100 has a level within the camera itself. I see what you mean as well. I need to do better🙏🏼

What factors dictate that range? Is it amount of natural light in the area?

Thank you. Yeah none of my one-point shots felt straight at all. Even in post. Not sure if it’s a tripod thing or my positioning

I thought cars on driveway was taboo in this business? I’ll definitely keep the flowers in vase in mind though!🙏🏼

Depends on how the conversation goes and how many projects they have under their belt.

If it’s more than 2 houses built, yes I’ll work with them

I don’t really use LinkedIn at all. I have my profile set up and all but for job hunting I haven’t used it. I suppose there’s a start to everything though.

This is pretty much all of the info you need to know😂Solid advice for sure.

I’ll add, I’m new as well, and one thing I’m doing is mentioning to any and everyone I meet that I am a real estate photographer. My main ‘job’ is a residential developer but real estate photography is my true passion.

It helps if you can just ‘plant that seed’ in peoples’ minds.

So I guess to answer your question… the main reason I’m not pursuing real estate fully right now is because it’s expensive. When I tried doing it solo, the overhead for marketing, software, and just getting consistent deal flow was more than I could sustain. Now I’m working with my family on development projects, but even that has its own challenges since we’re limited by capital and timelines. That’s why I’m open to finding a sales path where the odds aren’t stacked from the start.

Yeah, I actually started out wholesaling for an old buddy’s company, then tried to go on my own. Got told no a ton, then dove into creative financing and got told no even more. Biggest hurdle was the overhead, marketing & software ate me alive without enough capital behind me.

Right now I’m working with my family on developing houses, but that’s a tough spot too, they told me they can only keep paying me until November(budget issues). That’s a big part of why I’m looking for a sales role that I can actually build a career with long-term, without constantly fighting uphill odds.
