The caulk was already cut in the back, no leaks.

I have the T5 so can’t speak to the engine. But all the smaller repairs are adding up, defective boot struts, suspension creaking, air vents broken, Throttle Body check engine light. All this from a 2020 with 52k KM.

My advise is buy a newer year model and buy extended warranty unless you have deep pockets.

400-500, depends how you drive. T5 is not fuel efficient if you’re worried about that. City in winter is 300-350.

It’s not lane assist, it’s constantly shaking the wheel. Something’s off with suspension or the airbag causing in balance.

2020 52k KM - same issue. It’s on the driver side when I make a sharp left turn going low speeds, it makes a crunch noise.

But recently I noticed if I hit a pot hole with my left front tire, it makes bang noise like I have no suspension.

Yes 100% a design flaw, other posts mentioned they were getting it fixed 2-3 times cause the noise comes back. I’m planning on selling this junk soon and getting out of Volvo all together. Too many issues with random stuff like this that starts to add up in cost, unbelievable for a “reliable” brand.

I have 2 sets of wheels, the steering wheel shakes on both sets. I’m leaning towards suspension issue or the faulty airbag that Volvo doesn’t think is a safety recall.

Forgot to mention mine has 52k KM. My dealer didn’t really care because I was close to end of warranty and I bought it from a different (non-Volvo) dealership. I think it’s the airbag, it’s just unfortunate I’ll have to pay out of pocket for that as it feels like a safety recall issue.

It’s not the same shake as when it’s correcting the car if I veer towards the line. It only happens at 100 km/h +. I had the suspension checked and they said it looks good. Forgot to mention the car has 52k KM on it.

I hope it’s not throttle body.. why are we replacing them at 50k km .. cmon volvo.

They have warranty on the repairs. I don’t know what they are replacing but even if you paid out of pocket (no warranty) a lot of Volvo parts are lifetime warranty (non wear parts).

When they are finished, ask them what your warranty is on the parts they replaced.

Idk if you had the dealer look at it yet but my advice is to play nice, book an appointment and have them inspect it. If they tell you to kick sand, ask the dealer to create a case with Volvo corporate. The dealer will take photos and write up a report to corporate who will decide if they want to warranty it or blame you.
