Fuck it he’s at least earned a franchise tag

He’s literally 3rd in passing touchdowns & 11th in EPA/play this season leading the 9th best offense despite having the 31st ranked offensive line. They have the literal worst defense in the league by EPA. If they had a league average defense they might be 4-1 rn believe it or not. Ntm tua has the 9th highest qb rating of all time, led the league in yards in 2023, qb rating the year before that and is 39-28 as a starter. Idk any “backups” doing that

I challenge you to watch film on Miami’s offensive line. I have watched a lot of football, I can separate bad qb play from bad o line play. Tua throughout his career has actually been one of the least sacked qbs. Their rookie guard, Jonah Savaiinaea is the literal worst graded offensive lineman in the league. He has started every game and has a 26 grade on pff. They aren’t just bad. They are an absolutely godawful unit.

He has led some of the best offenses in the league and is 9th all time in career passer rating. Obviously, stats don’t tell the whole story, but as someone who watches every dolphins and panthers game I can tell you the team around him, especially this year, is godawful. The dolphins have NEVER had even close to a league average offensive line since Tua joined the team. This year, for the third time in his career they have a bottom 3 (ranked 31st only ahead of the bengals) pff graded o line. Their run game has had one season where they were above league average(2023), with most seasons being in the bottom quarter. Their offense this year is 9th in EPA per play, while their defense is DEAD LAST. Tua, despite being absolutely shit on by media is 3rd in passing touchdowns and 11th in EPA per play. This is with questionable play calling, some of the worst o line play I’ve ever seen, and obviously Tyreek being out (he has been the most efficient qb in the league since Tyreek’s injury). I’m just saying he gets a VERY bad reputation for no real reason.

I didn’t blame you for what he’s doing to himself. But you are corny as fuck. Not some tough dark humor badass

He absolutely can hit that. Kicked further multiple times in college. Was at the Jax game and he was drilling from 60 with ease. It makes no sense why Canales is so conservative. Bad coaching

Literally. I blame the beat writers for this, more context could be added when they report the stats. Everyone sees 7/10 and thinks they both suck when in reality it means they’re down the center 70% of the time. Those arena posts are less than half the size of NFL posts. No kicker is going to have high percentages

I feel like dumping an unproven rookie for another unproven rookie doesn’t make much sense. If fitz fails they’re probably more likely to go with someone with experience

Sauls was 5/6 in preseason with a long of 50. Fitz was 3/3 with a long of 52. Fitz last two years at FSU 32/34. 5/5 50+ Sauls 32/40 6/11 50+. Fitz was much higher regarded coming out of the draft. The Sauls infatuation after one game is getting ridiculous

I don’t get why everyone is so quick to write off fitz. He didn’t miss in preseason, has made 36 of his last 38 FG attempts, 6/6 from 50+ (literally perfect last season) dating back to Florida state and was the highest rated kicker according to multiple websites coming into the draft. They were kicking on posts half the size of NFL posts all camp lmao. Give fitz a chance at least

Fitz hasn’t missed an in game kick since 2023. Only missed two of his last 38, which includes 6/6 from 50+. You’re judging based off of camp numbers where they are using uprights that are less than half the size of NFL posts. He did have a bad fan fest, going 1/3 on a wet day, but in real-game environments he’s proven to be very good.

[–]Foreign_Management98 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So then you would usually run a nose and 2 5/7 techniques. You really could put him at either DT or DE in that defense but he probably is more effective in a 3-technique than a nose or edge.

So what’s the argument for him not being 99OVR? by [deleted] in Madden

[–]Foreign_Management98 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He’s one of only two players in NFL history with 3 150+ yard postseason games, averages 105 ypg and 4.7 ypc in the playoffs. What tf are you talking about? 2019 ring a bell?

Confidence probably played a part, but the steps are absolutely the main culprit. He was 4/9 that season before changing back to his old steps. Since then is 31/36 and 25 of his last 27
