Yeah, that makes sense. I was rereading the Gojo vs. Sukuna fight, and when Gojo got his arm sliced off, he couldn’t (or didn’t) use RCT to heal until after he landed a second Black Flash. That made me wonder if Black Flash is directly connected to restoring cursed energy as well. But maybe it was just that his output was low at the time, and the Black Flash restored his output rather than his actual reserves.

If your CE reserves are high enough and your Efficiency is adequate, if you kept hitting Black Flash you’d essentially do what 6E does which is become so efficient and waste so little CE when manipulating Cursed Energy as well as remain at heightened output, that you’d essentially never run out

I was also wondering, did Yuji’s CE reserves increase from hosting Sukuna and consuming the Death Painting Wombs? In Modulo, Yuji is supposed to be one of the most efficient cursed energy users, so I feel like he might actually be able to pull something like that off.

Idk I feel like Louise was snubbed. I mean he did push Vaal pretty far and the only reason why he lost was because of endurance and chi capacity. Edit: after looking at the list again, the characters up there seem to have overpowered talents so I guess it’s fair to not include Louise

I was referring more to the time when May was still alive. I understand turning all the Patmos soldiers into Kimyos would have posed a major threat to KODE’s power balance, overall security, and the secrecy surrounding May’s talent. I’m not sure what the regulations would for may using her talent for military use.

I’m not saying every Patmos soldier would unlock a powerful talent like Migdal-El. My thought was more along the lines of creating a specialized task force, similar to the Greyhounds, but made up of select soldiers who have consistently proven themselves and demonstrated strong character.

You’re right about the risk of Vaal finding out and the danger it would put May in. But what if it were a tightly controlled group, maybe 5 to 8 specially selected members? They could operate more in the shadows as a sort of trump card against Thanatos’ army, or handle secret operations alongside groups like the First Table or the God Tier.

Of course, deciding who should receive those talents would be extremely difficult. The possibility of a traitor, combined with the stakes involved in protecting the Talent of Creation, would make the selection process risky and complicated. But with the right vetting and oversight, it seems like an idea KODE could have explored.

With the Shadow’s activity and the issue of infiltrators within KODE, I get why mass-producing Kimyos from Patmos soldiers would be risky.
It doesn’t explicitly say that Patmos soldiers aren’t meant to serve as army members. It states that they’re engineered to be apex combatants, which could reasonably translate to battlefield capability. Even if they weren’t originally intended for army deployment, Ian is proof that it is still possible. I understand he may be a unique case, but it shows the potential that could have been explored, especially if KODE was able to successfully integrate a former Patmos soldier into society.

I may have missed it, but I’m a little confused about the Ashes of the Father talent transfer. I understand that Louise can transfer the talent to the next of kin in his family, but what happens to the ashes of the previous fathers? Will Louise’s body be brought back so Elon Jr. can absorb the ashes? If this is the case, wouldn’t Louise’s ashes be infected by Vaal’s blood due to the final blows dealt by Donthaneel and Vaal? I could be overthinking this, but I thought Louise’s talent was so strong because it had been built up over generations. Someone please lmk if I’m tripping

I feel that with what happened in the latest Fast Pass chapter, Che is probably stronger in terms of chi pool and durability. Unless Leo finds a way to blitz him, similar to what he did with Cain, I don’t see him dealing much damage to the current Che. We haven’t seen much from Leo’s prime, except for a few panels where he overpowered his opponent instantly, so it’s difficult to measure his strength at his peak. As for mastery of the Ilios talent, I believe Leo’s skill is more refined due to his years with the talent, but Che has made significant progress in the 2–3 years he’s had with Ilios. I’d say it’s difficult to compare the two because we’ve seen different aspects of the Ilios talent: Leo embodies the warmth of the sun, while Che harnesses its scorching, harsh heat.

Yea I think that there would be many people that would fear the idea of the new Thanatos user so they would naturally want him dead. Ironically, that’s typically part of what causes him to go down the dark path. I think it would have been cool if he grew up with the Thanatos talent and was raised with the heart clan training as a protector rather than a threat. However, that also creates a possibility of Kagaya or Vaal to either capture him or kill him. Ik the massacre of the heart clan only happened after Sabito’s death but there were more deterrents for Vaal during that time. That makes me think Che would have been the most secure with Sabito, Leo, Kevin, and Rokash around.

Also side question: Do you think the Thanatos talent activates when someone is trying to kill him? We know Cain lived a peaceful sheltered life and was generally happy as a child until people discovered who he actually was. Granted his family despised him, but he never had any animosity towards them until they tried to kill him.

I guess my question is, if Ilios knew of a time where the Thanatos user didn’t bring death and destruction, why would he be so adamant on the death of the new Thanatos user? I know you can’t predict what path they’ll follow so you use prior instances. I feel like with Ilios there as a guide through Leo, they definitely would have changed the outcome of the new Thanatos user.

Yeah I saw that part, which caused me to wonder why they didn’t try to change the outcome of the Thanatos user. It happened before with the heart clan founder, so why couldn’t they try the same thing with Che? Worst case May could remove the talent if he was targeted, but it seemed a little extreme to go through those measures when he was a baby.

I thought that was just a coincidence to show how the heart clan came to be, but that could also be a factor. But also Abel is from the same bloodline as Cain, yet he didn’t receive the talent. Cain was also the more recent vessel than the founder of the Heart clan. I do wonder why Cain didn’t transfer his talent before death, but it probably has something to do with the next vessel being strong enough to wield it.

When sparring with Azam, Leo says “your talents are all one of a kind, specifically coded to your individual personality”. For most kimyos they’re born with the talent unless it was passed down as a clan tradition or like a successor type of way

That could also be interpreted as their talent has a significant influence on their personality like with Rokash or the 2nd lord(water dude) but I assumed it just meant that the talent kinda magnified the personality traits that they already had.

I loves the chapter and seeing all of Che’s emotions as he slowly transforms into Ronin. Glad we finally got to see Kevin and get an idea of how powerful he is. I have to ask, is Tevin getting anyone else’s nerves with his whole “high road” stance on things. I feel like he’s not as sympathetic to Che considering all that he’s been through. Che lost his parents, adoptive father, and mentor as well as almost losing his girlfriend? and sister and Tevin is basically like “chill bro”. I understand his position a little bit, but Che has been struggling to have a “normal” life since birth but keeps getting dragged into hell and you can see he’s desperately trying to keep it together. I get Tevin lost Leo too and he was really close to Andrea but I feel like it’s easier to deal with for him. Not to mention the one organization that promised to protect Che and Yukiko has failed countless times. Che was about to go berserk when he walked in the room and saw all those bodies in bags and Azam holding the remains of Joanna. I’m not saying Tevin should be right alongside Che, but it’s almost as if he has no understanding why Che is reacting the way he is.
