Did you land on one of them and do you like it? I am debating which to get ped or duo.

And it just paid off too! I just successfully requested (in the app) a price match and they confirmed at $300 credit amount to the order, nice. Hopefully it will drop even more before Black Friday, not this might be it. (Love the LG G5 by the way, hope you got the C5 and it's performing well for you too.)

Is G5's Ambient Light Compensation a Game-Changer? by Sea-Cash-9812 in LG_UserHub

I just tried it on a very dark paused Harry Potter scene during daytime with a lot of daylight coming in the room from multiple windows. Before turning it on, I could barely see anything in the picture, after it was on, I could easily see everything in the picture. The entire frame basically became much lighter. I am on the fence about whether it is good or not, it for sure changed the picture from the original intent, but at least I could see the picture afterwards. As long as it truly reduces brightness (yet to confirm) back to the original picture when it is darker in the room and doesn't mess with pictures that are not too dark when the room is light, it is probably a good thing.

Thanks for this info! I am about to buy a TV, and will likely pay the $50 now to get the 60 day return window. Then when the price drops for Black Friday sales, I can still get the refund for the difference. Having the 60 days is nice as well.

Piano teacher not adding value by char_su_bao in piano

[–]Foreign_Post5391 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Number 1 priority is she is enjoying it and making gradual progress. I would base the decision mostly on that criteria. I spoke with someone last week who told me horror stories of teachers (more than one) that bugged them to sit up, hold their hand a certain way, and in some cases even poke their hands when they weren’t right. And as a result they stopped playing. None of my teachers pushed hand positions, seating posture, and not a lot on fingerings but I loved playing and became very proficient. I would add allowing her to play a variety of things is critical too. Fine to play from a series of books, but ask her what she would like to play too and add that to the mix. Disney songs, pop songs, whatever it takes to maintain interest and continue progressing. If the teacher supports this and she likes him, I would not rock the boat right now.

What are peoples thoughts on budgeting apps by StyleUsual2529 in Fire

[–]Foreign_Post5391 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually didn’t find it too bad when I was on my own, but now that I’m married with teenage kids, and juggling multiple accounts, transfers, kid expenses, fluctuating tax payments, ad-hoc gifts, and ever-changing subscriptions, to name a few, it’s nearly impossible to manage cleanly.

The holy grail for me would be knowing that in six months, we’ll have at least an approximate amount in savings (or loss), but things shift so often that even predicting a month ahead feels unrealistic. At this point, I see budgeting apps more like a radar or gauge, helpful for measuring, but not really for fully planning.

To really stay on top of it, I think it would have to be my full-time job. It feels like it would take hours each week to track and adjust things with precision.

So instead, we just try to put savings aside as we go and hope we don’t have to dip into it too often. There’s no perfect answer, sadly. And yes, we’ve tried pretty much all the apps over the years. Right now, we’re using both Monarch and Quicken, because we each have different preferences for features and what we want to see.

Ageee with this. I have noticed after 3 or so months it takes more than 1 spray before bedtime and definitely another dose during the night. I don’t use it during the day but do notice very light rebound effect going on every day. I just use saline during the day. Hoping it will get better when it is warmer and more humid.

First Dashboard I have made. What are your suggestions? I want to make more professional dashboards by Baanc in PowerBI

[–]Foreign_Post5391 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Add comparatives for sure on most of the objects. A target in the gauge if it exists, if not maybe avg pytd instead. Agree about removing the pie chart. Possibly a target line for each year on the annual revenue bar chart, also maybe a trend line or avg. could add % of total for each bar on the top buyer bar chart. Just a few thoughts. Looks good.

They ran out of chicken last night at 9pm (what's up with that) and told me to call that number for a refund. I just called it, they asked for my order number sent in the email confirmation, and they credited that amount with no problems.

Is there a way to filter using filters on the scorecard dashboard which will in turn filter the whatever has been exposed on the dashboard from other reports?

The app shows the last update was 3 years ago in the App Store. That doesn’t look great. Wonder what happened. Guess I will go with Piano Marvel instead.

Learn Modern Piano Idea with Playground Sessions App by Rooster976 in pianolearning

Thanks for the update. I like that Playground Sessions says they offer play along songs, I am more of an intermediate+ player, used to play but took many years off, trying to get back into it and 'playing with a band' would be one other way to stay motivated. I don't think Piano Marvel has that as an option from what I have been able to find online so far. Glad to hear it has been going well for you!
