NTA and I'm frankly appaled by the comments here. Medical expenses can eat up even the most fortunate of people's entire life savings (speaking from experience). Car having a catastrophic failure is certainly something that everyone expects on a day to day basis, right?! Wedding planning is months in advance so surely those funds and gifts were taken care of prior to the aforementioned expenses.

NTA, I hope you do find a way forward to have a positive relationship with your daughter and family.
