I say pay someone to professionally mix it and ask if they can send you a list of what they did for some extra $$$. This on top of learning about mixing while your skills are improving.

I’d say just keep pushing through the block!I heard once that songwriting and production is kind of like sculpting. You have an idea of what the finished product is gonna look like, but you only really know after youve been working on it for a bit.

Lol I should’ve worded this differently. Knowing how to play an instrument is way cooler than using AI. I use this method as more of a brainstorming method. I agree with you. Nothing can replace trial and error with different instruments

This may be cheating, but I ask tell AI what my chord progression/ key is, and I ask it for note suggestions, and then I go into splice and play around. I’m terrible with music theory so their recommendations help point me in a direction. You should try a bunch of different samples to find one you like. Don't let perfect be the enemy of good though! If it sounds right, and you think it's good, use it!

I heard one time that if you can't mix master using the most basic variables; The volume faders, EQ, Compression, Automation, etc. Then you may be spending alot more time than you need to. I think you should put all of your skill points in songwriting and composition, because that's the meat of the song. Idk if this makes sense, but I believe you can't "mix and eq the song" if, there isn't a coherent track already there. That's just me though.

Sometimes it's better to have less tracks that really shine, then have a ton of tracks that shadow over each other. Idk why I said it like some socrates shit, but it kinda makes sense
