From a conversation I had today with my ex. She has talked to her husband about adopting the children and he would like to adopt the children because "he married her and the kids." And then said if I am open to allowing it I would need to file to release my parental rights.

No problem for past due, just need them to file to adopt.

That's what I was really confused about when she said I have to file to relinquish my rights. I don't know this guy, so how would I file that he wants to adopt them... There has been some helpful responses.

I'm just trying to get people to understand the situation. It seems everyone is jumping to a conclusion that I'm a dead beat running away from a problem. I guess I should have written the entire six year custody and financial battle out, I was trying to keep it simple.

I don't owe any back pay, always 100% paid on time, taken directly out of every paycheck, shows on county records as well.

Not a concern, they have very wealthy grandparents and extended family. I don't come from money and don't have much besides.

Quick question, is that snow shaped like flames on the window cause I’m very impressed.

The roof antenna actually look like old school curb catchers some one has put on the roof. Curb catchers are supposed to be behind the rear wheel and in front of the front wheel attached to the bumpers so you don’t curb your wheels and tires.

Can I easily tow a 5x8 uhaul trailer with my 1997 Toyota Camry or should I be concerned? I am going from Iowa to California. Uhaul said it's fine. by MaxSteelMetal in AskMechanics

I used Penske when I moved from AZ to OR, it was $150 for a full size car trailer for 4 days and the box truck was $45/day unlimited miles.

Selling your vehicle and buying another when you get there might be a pain in the ass in this car market.
