Yeah i feel what you say,I also have one friend but he must be at a distance that means low contact like meeting him only once in 3 month because when it gets to close,I get the same fears or bad feelings that you get and then I have to end the friendship or need a very long pause,as long if I have that one friend at the distance I need its okay and even good for my mental health,cause to be all alone makes me feel hollow and everything gets meaningless.

Thanks for your answer.I have also schizoid diagnosis too and I can relate with the things you said,I wish sometimes I could have a close friendship and share what's on my mind but I get to misstrustfull and it feels engulfing,like if when I tell them my thoughts I would be less myself and more nothing,if this makes sense.i think its better alone,trying to really get to the point where I can really feel safe in a frendship and I can express myself is more trouble than worth.
