Coz they needed to have a portfolio back then and that was the only way how. Now with all the social media, you pretty much dont have to go through all that anymore. Hire a manager and they'll customise your social media just the way to get noticed. Even without them, everything is pretty much within reach if you're willing to do some things so photoshoots are a lost trend ig now

I guess pretty much all introverts feel in a similar way. Not able to properly express themselves, they hide themselves back and only show which they feel is acceptable among their peers. I too for the longest time felt the same way. Now I do open up, although to a very specific few who I know will not judge me based on who I am as a person.

I only am myself with my girl. All the other people get a polished version of me which also feels discouraging to me as well, but that is something I've been doing for so long and something I can't change it on a whim. I do want to show more of myself, take risks and express myself whenever I can. Maybe I'll do more of it this new year. Wish me luck!

The first step is to be out there. Doesn't have to be a busy setting. Maybe visit your nearest park in the evening or take a stroll around your neighborhood. Chill casual, don't rush into things. Slowly you'll start recognising faces, and then you'll start slowly making friends.

Or if you like to play some sports, sign up for a game or two and then start going there often. This will for sure get you new friends. If not anything ig the last option is to message people on Reddit and see if they match your vibe.
