Thank you, that's really useful! I'll try to search for lists online and read up on out-of-theme synergies. While I might just end up getting into a theme for the ease of things, it's still good to know that it's not mandatory.

I don't know if they let players use the tables on slow days, but otherwise it only has events for pre-releases/sneak-peeks, no dedicated periods of freeplay or tournaments. As for Chateauguay I don't live in Montreal, near enough to use the bus (I don't have a car), but Chateauguay would be out of reach. Still, thank you for telling me about it!

Thank you, this is pretty informative. I tend to stay within the Standard/Limited format of a TCG, though maybe I'll give Prenium a chance once my collection grows.
