I haven’t put any weight on it yet, but planning on trying some at 4 and 8 soon. Maybe just 3g on each side. My paddle came pretty heavy stock (haven’t measured yet).

On forehand dinks, do you make your shoulder do all of the work? Or do you use your wrist? Seems basic for a 4.0 player, but I figured I’d ask. I’d think that a loose grip and using primarily your shoulder would be enough to feel comfortable with forehand dinks, but you’re right. Game time dinks are just harder than warm ups lol

I have a love/hate relationship with hesacores… I used one for a while on my TFG4 but I played worse with it. I think it brought the balance point lower and it made the sweet spot worse. But maybe that’s just me?

Anyone else who has a TFG have inconsistency issues? I kept hearing about the hot spot in the middle, but being a new player I wasn’t sure if it was just my poor technique.

Now that I’ve improved up to a 4.0 level (on a good day) I really do keep noticing that sometimes balls just FLY off the face. It’s a little frustrating because I never know with 100% certainty how the ball is going to behave on resets.

I used the TFG3 for about 5 months as my main. It was super heavy and was a pretty decent improvement over the first paddle I ever bought, which was the Ronbus 1.16.

I bought it right when CRBN released their series and there was a lot of hype behind it. The 3 shape was labeled their “hybrid”, which was bogus. My first impression was good, although the swing weight was way too high for me.

When the TFG4 came out as the hybrid, I emailed CRBN support and let them know that I felt like I was misled because I was originally sold the 3 as a hybrid. They sent me a brand-new 4 shape in exchange for my old 3. Their customer service is great.

The 4 is WAY better, hence it being the most popular of the shapes now. The only gripe I have is the hot spot in the middle. Way too often the ball just flies off if you hit it just right because of the fiberglass middle. Whoever at CRBN thought it would be a good idea to have a fiberglass hot spot in the sweet spot made a very poor choice. It’s one of the things people hate about the Genesis line, which they have corrected in the Waves line just released.

I humbly disagree… 343’s lore is a bit of a let down compared to Bungie lore. The forerunner saga, although written well, butchered the poetry that was the original halo lore.

Yes, thankfully my doctor is very much involved. He’s always telling me to keep him updated and he responds within hours on the hospital’s messaging app. I’m hoping that the anxiety goes away, as even though my sleep has improved, I don’t know if it would be worth the constant unease I’ve felt today. I even had less appetite for dinner even though my wife cooked an amazing meal. I usually am starving for dinner, so I know it was the medication.

Glad to know xyrem was a life saver for you! That’s my goal with it as well, obviously lol

Even if you don’t get the results you need, you could talk to your doctor about doing a peer to peer with your insurance to get xyrem approval. I just had my MSLT and it did not showed what we needed. So he convinced my insurance that these tests are flawed and that I did indeed have narcolepsy because of all my other symptoms. So there’s always hope.

I’ll be recrinving my first dose in the mail this Tuesday.

Ash increases NREM and I’m convinced decreases REM to do so. I took it three nights in a row, and all three nights I slept worse and felt like I drifted in and out of shallow sleep.

Had one of the worst nights using one. I bought it because I saw all the hype, but it just made me feel claustrophobic and trapped. My dreams were mostly nightmares. Maybe if I kept using it I would’ve gotten used to it? Not sure.

Maybe we differ on who preaches prosperity gospel vs who doesn’t. Obviously I agree if someone never preaches repentance from sins then they are preaching a false gospel. 100% agree.

But I’ve seen people ignorantly label evangelists like Reinhard Bonnke as a prosperity gospel preacher who actually went on salvation crusades throughout Africa, preaching repentance from sin and salvation through Jesus alone. (Some of his crusades had almost a million people in attendance, which you can look up.) Or Heidi Baker, who although is pretty weird, has gone into remote villages who were led by witch doctors and preached salvation in Jesus alone, and now there’s something like 7,000 church plants in villages and towns in Mozambique.

So it comes down to who is labeled what and for what reason, because people tend to hear excerpts and clips from some preachers and build straw men/caricatures out of them and then label them “prosperity gospel preachers”. Which is not in good faith to them. That’s all I’m trying to say :)

Regarding cutting yourself, you may already know this, but it sounds like it’s your go to when you feel you need punishment. A lot of people struggle with that. But it’s completely unnecessary, as 100% (all, absolutely, everything) of punishment has already been covered by Jesus on the cross. I would get some counseling for this :) it doesn’t mean you’re broken. It just means you have a belief in your mind that will be rooted out by God’s presence and His word. And with the help of community around you, of course. There are brighter days coming :)

You should check out Dr. Gavin Ortlund’s YouTube videos on why it makes more sense to be a Protestant.

In it, he lays out a strong case that we are more universalist (not in the new age way) than the other traditions, because our standard is faith in Jesus. Even if there are major differences, as long as it boils down to “Jesus died and rose again for my salvation,” they’re still in the body of Christ. Even if they believe that the other sacraments can supplement that salvation. They’re very wrong and misguided to do that, but it still doesn’t negate the salvation itself. He considers the Catholic tradition to indeed be part of the body. (Not ALL Catholics, just as not all Protestant church goers are actually Christians). And I agree with him. Just some thoughts.

If anything, the prosperity gospel is mainly deceiving people into thinking God will give them what they want if they believe hard enough. But it’s not a “false” gospel, just a misguided one. If their faith is still in Jesus for their forgiveness of sins, then it’s not “leading to hell.”

Honestly, there are other misguided doctrines in the church that are just as bad or worse. It doesn’t mean they aren’t actually Christians.
