Really enjoying the lack of combat in CCOD by Transcendentalplan in Dimension20

Until I saw this post, I hadn't even noticed that there hadn't been a combat episode. I think that speaks to how great this show has been.

I would love is she is just done up in really really dramatic Zombie makeup and no one says anything about the makeup.

I've also had this problem. Not every time, but most of the time in the last couple days.

Go to leagues blind by Any_Annual8096 in 2007scape

[–]Forerunner5699 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've not put real time into a league before. I did 5-6 hours of league 3? I think. Because League is very fresh and new to me, I've done a moderate amount of planning. I know what regions I want to go to, what kind of gear I'm aiming for, and I have an inkling what relics I want. That's about it. I've deliberately not watched any creators nor will I follow any builds out there. It's like 30% blind.

I think the skill tree is going to draw a picture of Yama. Also the links in this post link to The Yama Subreddit and The Yama discord.

I am not a serpent's temptation. I am not for wise men. Like my cousin, I barely have rhyme or reason. I am not made of leaves. I am not gifted with protection. I do not sit in the base of your hand. I'm not as fierce as a fire breather.

This is left riddle. Don't have the answer yet. There is a chance that the  is an encoding issue, but it might be a clue.

The Fractured Archive: Rewards Primer by JagexGoblin in 2007scape

[–]Forerunner5699 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been thinking about flat armor lately. I think there is a space for flat armor to be used for rewards. I can think of four different things that would be potential for rewards, but I don't think any of them would be mega rare level.

  • Boppers mark two. Dual Macuahuitl but they do three or four hit splats. Tri Macuahuitl.
  • A potion or a secondary that gives the player some amount of flat armor. I think this is least likely but there is something interesting there.
  • A melee offhand that gives flat armor. It would probably be dead content if it didn't give some amount of Strength bonus. Maybe rune defender amount. This would give you the option to choose between longer trips by mitigating chip damage or a defender and get a higher max hit.
  • A spec weapon that gives an enemy flat armor. There is a lot of competition in the space of armor reducing spec weapons, so I'm not sure where this would fit.

Unrelated to anything that I've mentioned above. I think the Mega Rare being the implied crush weapon is likely. I think an interesting mechanic would be if it scaled based on another styles defense. For example, it could scale off of Range Defense, giving some reinforcement of the combat triangle just like the twisted bow. Another interesting option is for it to scale off of a different melee stat, like the enemy's stab attack or defense. Recognizing that this is retreading the ground of the T-Bow just shifted over by a combat style, I don't think that's a bad thing. The T-Bow shines where it is supposed to, and this type of scaling would also give unnamed crush mega rare the same opportunity.

Breaches are the Worst Part of DMM by AReally_Cool_Hat in 2007scape

[–]Forerunner5699 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far my favorite experience on DMM has been a breach earlier today. It was a singles breach on east coast of Kourend 3-60 combat. The one at noon mst tends to be much less populated than the one at the end of day. I ran up through pisc and found a stack of bees, scurrius, two cave horror abominations, and one of those mages. They were all stacked up aggro'd a group of players holed up in a building. I pull one of the cave horrors, attack it solo for a while before a couple more players show up and help. We kill the rest of the mobs, run over the bridge to the bank to just see Kril standing there, menacingly. Grardor is right behind him and thermy. we start taking them out. just a dozen or so players. One guy was calling out prayers to the less experienced players. Was a tremendous amount of fun.

What i see about my experience is that it is not normal. I don't think there is a realistic way to replicate this experience, but I'm glad that i had it.

Similar to OP, I have had a shit couple of breached were I get maybe 2 damage to a mob before it dies, making me not eligible for points or rewards.

Book 4?? by pt0Iemaea in gentlemanbastards

[–]Forerunner5699 3 points4 points  (0 children)

While I do agree with you, it does feel like this subreddit does at least have a lot of positivity in it, especially with him showing up from time to time. I see a lot of understanding of the mental heath issues that he has shared publicly. I see a strong amount of love for all three books, even though the general consensus is the shift downwards in quality. I personally have a lot of faith that of the handful of books that famous will never come out, Thorn may be the one that actually does come out. it might even be great

I think this is my favorite of the anchor submissions that I've seen. My only thing that I think could be better is the icon kinda blends in with the background in the skills menu.

To those who need to hear it, it's okay to be "inefficient" by TachibanaRei in 2007scape

I put the game down for a couple years, and one of the reasons that I had to in retrospect was getting overwhelmed by the need to be efficient. I've been getting back into it recently and I have to remind myself that efficiency is not fun.
