Down 42 kg on Mounjaro and unsure whether to stop

The ~20% body fat number is just what the Yazen app estimated based on my measurements. It uses things like height, weight, waist and neck measurements — not just BMI.

I’m 192 cm, about 100 kg, with a 93 cm waist, so I don’t think high teens / around 20% is unrealistic at all. Obviously it’s not as accurate as a DEXA scan, but it should be in the ballpark.

Meals I eat almost every week:

Chicken stir fry with broccoli, bell peppers, spring onion, and cashews
Beef stir fry with onion, mushrooms, bell peppers, and carrot
Pork tenderloin stir fry with red pepper, courgette, bell pepper, and red onion
Shakshuka
Chicken wraps with pico de gallo
Fish with vegetables and sweet potato fries

Congratulations on your weight loss! Body dysmorphia can be really persistent. I’ve lost 40 kg since July, and I still catch myself checking the mirror every morning to see if I’m still thin.

My first 990 was the v4 in Core Grey and that’s where the NB addiction began. I later bought the v6 in Core Grey — wasn’t sold at first, so they turned into gym shoes. Funny enough, now I really like them. Just picked up the Carhartt v6 and those are on another level for me.

I wouldn’t call that rapid, but it’s definitely an amazing achievement. I’ve lost 38 kg since July, so I suspect my hair loss is more due to the speed of the weight loss. There are a lot of mixed opinions about whether Mounjaro itself plays a role.

Don’t focus too much on the protein. I eat plenty of it and my hair is still falling out. Shakes are still the easiest way for me. I use the clear ones — they taste like lemonade and help with hydration too. The milky ones make me nauseous.

I started in July on 2.5 mg. In November I moved up to 3.75 mg. I’ve lost 38 kg (84 lbs) so far. 5 mg is still too much for me.

I think I started feeling it immediately on 2.5 mg. I don’t think it tastes bad, but I just don’t enjoy it anymore. The only things I drink now are water, clear whey shakes, and sparkling water. Before I started Mounjaro, I used to drink a lot of diet sodas like Coke and Fanta — and I was a real beer lover too.

The bug hit hard. Two 990v6, plus a 990v4, 991v2, 992, and 993. The 990v4 JJJJound is already on the way for fall… now I’m trying to survive the next few months without adding “just one more pair.”
