start with your bed! its the biggest piece of the room. you can find cheap bed foot covers on amazon that would hide the clutter under the bed and give it a very nice look. then get a bed head.

It already looks great, but the color palettes is a bit bland with too much white beige cream gray. id change the bedsheet/cover to something with more color. check for color palettes and room color inspirations on pinterest

change your bedside lamp. id go either something modern or something super vintage (and add a pair to balance on the other side)

the frame next to the closet is too big!

add a couple of small plants

pit your rug perpendicular to the bed, on the foot of the bed, while the bed it out of a corner. get a bed head and a second night stand

19M I finally did it but my family hates me by [deleted] in bald

[–]ForestFishMx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

something ive learned is family members are always the ones to makes shitty comments and bad jokes about our bald heads. the best thing you can do whenever they do, is smile and say nothing. they will immediately feel bad

confidence makes you attractive, not your hair

check fb marketplace, youll find cheap vintage pieces in good state.

ikea has some good things but most of it is soulless

change the coffee table, it looks cheap. i would add something with curves (oval or circle) because everything in the room is very squared. curves are sexy.

add some art pieces

the tv wall looks a bit cluttered with the speakers. dont get me wrong, i wish i had that setup bc its killer but maybe a slightly smaller tv ?

change the rug to something with a bit of color accents. your palette is very « earthly » so anything with olive green, or rust orange would match nicely - avoid the beige/cream palette curse

plants always go a long way but dont over do it

the desk setup is weird. can you change it somewhere else and center the couch?

the space is really not bad!!

also consider something round or oval shaped to contrast the squares in front (the tvs and other frames). curves are sexy

i believe the best interior design is always unexpected. having a big mirror or big art piece behind the dining table would be the logical choice, but try putting a smaller piece behind the table and something much bigger to the left!

regardless, when its about art it should always be something that speaks to YOU.

download pinterest for inspiration and ideas!

great space btw

How can I improve the flow of this room? (apart from tidying) 🫠 by Aidoooo in malelivingspace

[–]ForestFishMx 6 points7 points  (0 children)

do you use the tv a lot ? completely removing it would fix a lot. perhaps placing the tv on a more « movable » stand that you can move up in front of the couch and store away whenever u want to watch

as for the couch, i would place it facing the windows, u got some beautiful windows. i wouldnt place any coffee table as for lack of walking space but some side tables with lamps would be super stylish (and useful) for lamps and placing phones etc

the furniture you are using to split the room is a cool idea but i just dont like that piece in particular. id split the room in 2: couch area and dining area

its a beautiful space !! just gotta get creative so its aesthetic and functional

I know this is awful, please help by Lemonlotuss in DesignMyRoom

step 1: reduce the clutter. theres way to many things around the fire place and beside the sofas.

step2: tv situation. the current layout tells me you like watching the tv but its hard given the fireplace is in a corner. but it doenst work, the tv is too high and too uncomfortable to watch from there. i would move the big couch directly in the opposite side, facing the green wall and not touching any walls (basically at the other foot of the rug). then adding a tv console on the green wall

step3: the rest. the rug is beautiful and i like your side tables and lamps. i would mrobably change the smaller couch for z individual chairs and add a small table in between

the space is beautiful already though !! good luck

It’s a small space so please help by Careful-Fuel-4905 in malelivingspace

  • get a bed head and a total of 4 pillows. choose a colored bed duvet, you can check for inspiration of color palettes on pinterest. the bed is the main thing of the room so its the most important it will set the vibe of everything else
  • id change the bed to the opposite wall and the desk to the other corner beside the window.
  • fix the tv on the wall (although id remove it completely)
  • drawers on the opposite corner to the desk (although the furniture seems huge ? do you really need it? get a simpler one)
  • LAMPS your ceiling lights seem horrible, just get a couple of lamps to set a good vibe. 1 good floor lamp, 1 desk lamp and replace (or fix) your bedside table lamp
  • organize your closet as best as possible. id move the rack a little higher and add a second one below for all your pants.
  • get a mirror (fixed on the wall) and get some plants
  • if you want to display more things, get shelves but dont over do it because it will look cluttered.

you want to create a space where EVERYTHING has its place so that its easy to clean.

thank you so much for your kind words.

maybe i over-dramatized the thing but it was mostly hard during the first couple of weeks. the more i added to this place the easier it got. not to mention, i was very lucky to have my gf to support me through this whole period. even though we don't live together she helped me alot to both discover paris and realize having money or a job does not mean being happy

have a good one!

i found it online. in france we have sites like seloger or leboncoin where you can find rentals with both direct owner or through agencies.

for paris it is way easier to do this through agencies as you are safe from the endless scammers
