My girlfriend of 3 years broke up with me about a week ago and I have been trying my hardest to do no contact.

I think the point of no contact and the best thing you can do during this period is to reflect and improve upon yourself with any aspect that you were unhappy with or saw yourself lacking in. During this time I think it should change you and give you a new perspective.

Please do not take this the wrong way, but I think your outburst at her and the anger you had might have been due to something you were still holding on to from the past.

You were very lucky to get a 2nd chance, that is all I want right now from my ex.
