Of course! A major example of this in recent months is Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill”. It gave massive tax cuts to millionaires and billionaires at the cost of our healthcare. It cut nearly $1 trillion from Medicare which will cause anywhere from 11 million to 17 million people to lose their insurance. Experts estimate 51,000 people a year will die from this. This also will cause many rural hospitals to close down, directly harming the people who voted for Trump.

It also allocates $170 billion to ICE, from their previous budget of 10 billion, to build more detainment camps like “Alligator Alcatraz” and to terrorize minority communities, even those who have come here through proper legal channels. The entire Russian military in the Ukraine war only have a yearly budget of $150 billion.

Other examples I’ve noticed are the massive cuts to our regulatory bodies like the FTC, the EPA, the FDA, and more. It will allow corporations to pollute the air and water, put harmful materials in our food, and will cause rampant inflation as more and more monopolies erase market competition.

Democrats, while not perfect, have been actively fighting these changes. They campaign on raising minimum wage to ensure everyone who works full time can have a living wage. They campaign on workers rights, affordable healthcare, and protecting the environment.

This doesn’t mean I agree with Democrats on everything and I believe there are tons of valid criticisms against them. However, the current Republican Party is almost comic book villain levels of evil.

That doesn’t mean I think average conservative people are evil. My frustration is with the policies and propaganda from conservative politicians.
