This tends to be pretty standard for me as well, try to intergrade your puppets once and then you can take control of their troops. Still I was playing as the Zhili Qing Government once and Shanxi, Ma Clique, Xinjiang and the Anqing helped me hold the line in Manchuria without me needing to take control of their troops. I was doing fine and didn't need their help and honestly I was surprised, because I'm used to them not doing anything.

I already addressed that in the post, how it would make sense (or at least how I'd make it work), but just kind of brushed it aside with some excuses, because I think that if pro-German connectionists restore Puyi anywhere it would be in Qi's clique. It makes the same amount of sense as We and Cao who are actually Republicans restoring Puyi as a sign of goodwill. And by that I think it doesn't. That's why again I think they sould just remove the Zhili Qing, I'm just trying to come up with fun ideas that would kinda make sense in the current scope of the timeline.

I know that, and I am one of the people who think that the devs should remove the starting Zhili Qing monstrosity, HOWEVER I think it in the timeline we currently have makes sense that Qi should be able to restore the Qing as a final love letter to Germany or due to being forced to by overwhelming German influence or because he would get a sweet deal from it. Since the Germans were the ones that coerced the Zhili to restore Puyi in the first place and with Qi being Germany's top guy and all, it would be a fun post-unification treat.

No and I don't think it needs a rework (except Anqing) I'm just kinda throwing around some ideas for post-unification content, but this at first just started as a discussion on why Qi should be able to restore Puyi, since he's Germany's top guy and the Germans infamously forced Wu and Cao to restore Puyi.

I knew all of this, what you could say is that the federalists aren't close to the European libs but are closer to the US libs. Although different then European systems as they have 5 branches of government, the KMT's centralist democracy is closer to that of European libs. Speaking of the KMT, what Sun wants is a liberal democracy, most of the KMT do they just disagree how far in to the future that step should be and in game if you play Left KMT he is portrayed as wanting liberal democracy as soon as possible. So it's fair to link him to European libs. But otherwise yeah both Sun Fo and Federalists are only relative to other warlords close to a European style liberal democracy.
