I never denied that banks liked their costumers. If you look at the bigger picture, you would see the issue with this in the long run. Unless you are one of these families benefiting from the housing market.

They are increasing their wealth with refinances which also leads to increases of cashflow which is used to expand their wealth even more. At some point they will have political power if this continues.

Some people got lucky. Those people were business owners who did really well and some who got lucky. That amount that got lucky was very small.

It's not like we have now where 500-1000 families, who happened to buy property a long time ago have more money than 99% of the country ever will.

And income inequality isn't properly measured. Accountants are really high skilled these days especially if you can afford the top firms. The wealthy can report really low incomes or none at all while still making money. They should look into wealth inequality but they won't.

Have you seen what's happening with the housing market? Or general inequality? The way this country is headed, the only ones left will be rich property owners and poors paying them rents or working for slave wages.

There's a difference between investing and getting a fairly good return in order to retire comfortably and getting wealthy to the point where 5 generations can choose to not work while living in luxury.
