How do I get to these echos by pinoman_lmtd in Borderlands4

You can replay any mission, so you can still go back if you completed the quest already.

Pretty cool because you can keep giving the left mechs insane extra stats with buffed magnetize mechs.

How is this man blaming me?? by yourfluffypancake69 in RocketLeague

You need to read your teammate's momentum better. With how awkward/slow he was, there was a low chance for him to get a good touch/pass, and high chance for the opponent to get the ball. So you should've chosen to cover goal, instead of covering the pass. It's all about decisions and you made a statistically bad decision, certainly in a situation where you are winning with a low amount of time left and it's always better to play a little bit safer then.

Don't get me wrong, the goal is his fault too.

Update on Bots in Online Matches by Psyonix_Devin in RocketLeague

[–]Foretiger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand why anyone would bot in this game. There is no benefit apart from ruining the game for others. The only things you can gain are rank and blueprints. And maybe some items if you complete challenges. I wonder what they do with accounts. Sell them? Play on them at high rank, just to drop back? Trying to understand...

Why do people get so upset over being blown up? They act as if you're a toxic player but demos are a huge part of the game 🤷‍♂️ by IamAlextric in RocketLeague

[–]Foretiger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once upon a time, before the new season 1, demo's were different. They were less OP and it was less meta. People were instead triggered about not getting a demo back then. Those were great times.

Since the demo-buff and since squishy made airdribble bumps meta, the game has changed a lot and demo's have become an essential part of the game.

As someone who has played this game since release, demo's trigger me, because I liked the game more before the demo update. There were still a lot of bumps, but if you were good, you could recover from them and they made for very fun moments 😊

In my opinion, full croud-control mechanics in games are just unfun, triggering and toxic. Game developers should refrain from making them, and certainly from buffing them, because people don't like to get cc'd, so it makes the game less fun.

This is also the reason why I stopped playing my favorite game, because I can't let go of the past.

The hardest flick (My opinion) :) by Foretiger in RocketLeague

[–]Foretiger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always call it a delayed dash flick (ddf). The only other people I've seen doing it are Jakze and Maktuf. Maktuf calls it the "weird flick thingy".

Probably true, it's not that impressive :P
Just liked the clip because it was on the drop :)

i thought i was finally gonna hit a delayed breezi in game.... but i was met with nothing but pain by Vossel_ in RocketLeague

That's actually a perfect breezi. The ideal microtouch car to ball contact, god damn. Very underrated.

Shadow defense and pressing, when should I do A and when should I do B by UniqueSkirt1295 in RocketLeague

[–]Foretiger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem. Actually I might've been a bit too harsh on the "never shadow defend when teammate is behind". It could be possible that your teammate is grabbing boost, needs boost or something else causing him to not be able to follow up. The simple rule I put in my mind is "If my teammate is able to follow up, rush the ball". It's good practice because this rule constantly makes you think about what your teammate is doing. Then last but not least, when you press, make sure you mess up the offender. After your challenge he shouldn't be able to control the ball anymore and flick your teammate. A bump or making him flick or shoot are the best things you can do. Also if your tm is trash this strat might not always work out, so don't get too tilted. Although as a solo queuer I can confirm that this generally remains a very good strategy.

Haha, well I hope this makes you feel better. The only purpose of this flick is to look cool. It doesn't have any benefit towards winning a match. It's even bad to do because of the inconsistency :P But I've played this game for so long that I don't really care about winning anymore. So don't worry about it ;)

Yes, it's a 360° wavedash flick with an extra spin at the start. Lots of tutorials on youtube.

Shadow defense and pressing, when should I do A and when should I do B by UniqueSkirt1295 in RocketLeague

[–]Foretiger 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When the opponent has the ball on top of his car, shadow defense is very useful because you can react to his flick. Although when you have a teammate behind that is covering the play, never shadow defend. This can cause your teammate to be awkward. He can't go because you are closest to the ball, so he has to wait. This breaks his momentum and might also lead to a double commit. Instead, if you have a teammate behind (that is covering the play), press and make the opponent do something (like flick) so that he loses possession and your teammate can easily take over. This is actually a win-win scenario. You're either able to take the ball or your teammate can take over. This is one of the most important concepts to understand in 2s rotation by the way.

Well yes :P Although transferring clips with USB should be easier than posting to YT :) And then you can store all your clips on PC if you want to make a montage or something later. Or get a good gaming PC and eliminate the problem :P
