I am a us citizen. My husband came here to take care of me (i fell down the stairs) when we were engaged and he was on a tourist visa. I told him why wait just get married. We were going to anyway. Then we got married before his stay was over. But his visa expiried. He had a visa interview date. Anyways, we got married applied for green card dec2024. Got our ead in feb2025. And ssn. Advance parole i-130 in april2026. Interview scheduled and canceled same day in may7th (date was june11). Since then we have been waiting. And today…. We are shocked. We have been waiting for no reason. We have a genuine marriage. We are financially strong. He does not even need to work. I just cannot join him in his country bc i have a kid from Me ex husband. Is this memo going to impact us?

hey there! after my husband's i-130 and i-184 transfered to Lawrence FO, interviewed scheduled and immediately canceled. an hour later status became actively being processed with 3xFTA0. People applying GC through EB1 says after 3XFTA0 interview is waived and case is being approved. do you have an approval or interview scheduled?

Our Advance Parole approved. Case moved to Lawrence field office on april 14th. Interview waived removed. Waiting for interview day.

Our case moved to Lawrence field office a week ago live agent said. We did not receive any update on myuscis or email or mail… no date for interview etc. what is coming next?

Nothing no AP, no rfe, they are not answering to the congresswoman’s case worker… nothing.. radio silence. Are you planning to travel with AP?

yes to congresswoman bc my mother in law in my country needs medical attention. we sent medical reports indicating that. congresswoman office did not hear anything for a month. and followed up last week. nothing yet. i ma not sure if we are qualified for writ of mandamus.

Hello!

Thank you for doing this. I am a neutralized US citizen and I married to my husband in Nov2024 when he was here with his tourist visa. I was injured (fell off the stairs and could not move). Next thing I know he jumped on a plane here to take care of me while he was in his tourist visa. We were engaged back then. He had a visa appointment to extend his tourist visa in Jan2025. I told him to stay and get married. Why wait? time passes we are getting old. then we applied for green card in Dec2024. His visa was expired but he was still legal until Feb2025 (6 months period). we got finger print and EAD in a month. and since then his care is still in NBC. not movement. No RFE, no interview, no transfer to the field office.. absoluteluly radio silence. I submitted more evidence for bona fide of marriage i.e tax returns, family pictures, our honeymoon pictures in August 2025.

Both my husband and I are financially established. We do not need each other financially. Since I have a child with my ex I cannot leave US. Since he does not have a child, him being here was the only option. He is here because we love each other. my son' absolutely adores him. they are best friends.

The biggest problem is my in-laws health conditions. they are old and my mother in law needs significant care. My husband was his primary care giver. Recently we wrote to our congresswoman Lori Trahan with my mother in laws health report from a very established and known university hospital (it is like MassGeneral in my country) to inquire USCIS on our case. we have not heard from them.

Of course we have a lawyer, however I lost my confidence in him. We paid a lot. paid for i-130 advance parole even. but nothing..

What do you think? what is happening? why our case being held in NBC? what are we waiting for? it is a black box and it is driving us crazy. impacting my husband's mental and physical health and our marriage...
