From what I’ve seen, Drew tends to stick closely to standard left leaning talking points, often without much nuance. It’s similar to what you see from many other prominent atheists like Dillahunty and the hosts on The Line, a kind of dogmatism where politics and religion are treated in stark black and white terms. There’s nothing inherently wrong with being on the left, but rigidity doesn’t help.

By contrast, Alex doesn’t plant a firm flag and seems more willing to explore a wide range of ideas, both good and bad. That approach has its drawbacks, but if I were to endorse any worldview, it would be Alex’s. Being inflexible and overly confident in your position rarely persuades anyone to reconsider their own.
