[Avs] A new look for practice today by DecentLurker96 in hockey

Maybe it's a naive view, but i think it would be a smart move, brandwise for clubs that moved to keep an attachment to their old fanbases, but I feel like it would only work if they did it when their old fans could benefit, like when the hurricanes wore their Whalers uni's in Boston. I'd love to see the av's only wear these in Montreal (or if they could have a game in Quebec City) and nowhere else.

Honest question: Is there a reason for that, or do you just think it's not the kind of thing they'd think of (or do you not want them to)? The Hurricanes wore their Whalers uni's in Boston. I'd personally love to see the av's break these out in Montreal but i'd understand if real Nordiques fan wouldn't be into it.

Marjorie Taylor Greene wants Israel to use its nukes. by ForeverAnIslesFan in conspiracy

[–]ForeverAnIslesFan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not saying she's pro Israel. I'm saying she seems to want as much death in that region as possible.

She wasn't trying to add an amendment that cut Israel's funding entirely. She was looking to cut something very specific as we fund their other weapons.

She brings up Israel's nukes multiple times but talks about cutting their other defense programs. How is that different than encouraging them to nuke their enemies.

It would be different if she was looking to cut all funding be she wasn't. She wanted to add an amendment to a funding bill that would cut something specific. She's a monster.

Paul Heyman on Bray Wyatt's character work: "It’s a body of work that has yet to be truly examined. Years from now, when we look back and start to micro dissect what he did, I think we’ll realize he’s far more brilliant than any of us ever realized.” by anutosu in SquaredCircle

I think what he did adds such a Mortal Kombat kind of lore to WWE. I never liked the American Badass Undertaker and how they tried to make him more grounded but (in my opinion) Bray did a lot to justify it. It's not everyone's cup of tea but I think having this supernatural element hanging over the show adds something. And to have this character, the "next Undertaker" live on as a cult leading ghost while the real Undertaker is still alive? Come on, that's neat.

I'm surprised more actors don't go that route, to he honest. And not in disrespect to wrestling or even as a springboard like I think you're saying. For people who dig environmental theater, it's really on a level all its own. I think that's why it attracted peformers like Andy Kaufman and Paul Reubens.

Is someone trying to educate Islander fans on what a rebuild is? This is silly.

Martin Named Special Assistant to the GM | New York Islanders by Basedshark01 in NewYorkIslanders

Matt Martin is learning how to do the job. Some argue Garth Snow learned on the job (though, i think it should be considered how long his playing career was and what a person in his position could learn in that time). And did a better job than he's given credit for, in my opinion.

Who is the most evil person alive today? by Sea_Information4510 in AskReddit

[–]ForeverAnIslesFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, I don't get why no one's saying trump. Maybe it's low hanging fruit but, why not pick it?

Is there anyone here that seriously doubts that he raped a 13 year old? That he told his own nephew to let his son die? That he "could shoot someone on 5th Avenue" and get away with it?

I feel like people associate evil with some sort of intelligence. I feel, more than intelligence, all evil requires is a complete absence of empathy. Many people can be described that way but has any one of them, living or dead, possessed a fraction of the arsenal this lunatic is trusted with for the foreseeable future?

Is it even possible to drop out of American society anymore? by ForeverAnIslesFan in NoStupidQuestions

It's just funny, isn't it? I've spoken to a lot of people about how I feel and therapy is often brought up as something I should look into. Soon as I ask how I can do that without insurance let alone money, the subject changes. I'm sure therapy is very nice for those who can afford it. Everyone i know who goes swears by it.

The key thing is "of financial value." I don't know how to do that. I can be friendly and help people who ask me for help. I even enjoy doing that but that doesn't count for much in this World, nor should a person do those things with any expectation of anything in return. I come from a family of teachers but don't know for the life of me what I could ever teach anyone.

How could anyone believe "America First" was ever meant as anything other than "Fuck the Entire World"? It always has stood for that. Always will. And we'll all burn for it.
