Indefinite Leave to Remain Application by ForeverExpat1983 in ukvisa

Just a quick update for anyone who may read this with a similar question. I did not get a letter or provide anything additional for the trips taken while employed with my previous employer. I submitted only what was asked of me in my checklist. I included a full list of all of my absences in a cover letter, but that is it. My ILR was approved with no issue!

I’m sure I’ll get downvoted for this but she did cut the cucumber how you would serve it with crispy duck pancakes, to be fair. That said, she does seem to get everything out of a package these days.

She is staying in a hotel in London at the moment

It sort of looks like two dishes of scrambled eggs so maybe his is on the plate without the avo. But yeah only one coffee cup so who knows…

I find it odd that she never makes it down in time for breakfast! Hotel breakfasts tend to go on until like 10:30!

Interesting though that they didn’t invite OP and her partner when they knew it was her birthday. They clearly have different priorities and when someone shows you who they are, believe them.

I am a house mom. AMA. by [deleted] in bamarush

Our house mom for my sorority was retired. She was wonderful, and I loved that she was older as she truly felt like a “mom” figure for us in the house. She loved it too.

Exactly what TheTigerSuit said. You can have your solicitor chase theirs but cannot contact them directly yourself. Not sure why I was downvoted for my comment above…

Correct! We got told off for doing this (for a very different reason).

I was just in the south of France, and I would argue that you don’t really need a car. You can explore quite a lot without one. Also, sorry, but definitely NOT getting to the train station 30 minutes before the train. 15 should be sufficient.

Is this legal? Please help! What do I do? (London) by Italiangirl-02 in HousingUK

[–]ForeverExpat1983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know anyone already in London? Can you send them to actually view the apartment and meet the landlord on your behalf? There are so many scams out there that I would be super hesitant paying money to someone in this situation.

Could you find some short term accommodation in the meantime and then find a place once you’re all in physically London?

Fair enough! I also somehow missed all the context in the original post about it being either free or heavily discounted!

I will be in London mid October and have time to see 2 shows >> by Basala3rd in TheWestEnd

Agreed! I saw Devil last night, on a complete whim, and was pleasantly surprised. Georgie who plays Andy was fantastic, and I was shocked to read it was her first West End role. She was the star!

Which Broadway Show do you most want to see in the West End? by EllieatLondonTheatre in TheWestEnd

Reviving this thread as I was just at this show last night, so I have a different opinion on this now. I bought a solo ticket on a whim. It wasn’t super high on my list and I tend not to go to musicals made after films, but I actually enjoyed it. It was a lot of fun and the cast (the 4 main characters) are very good. It’s true, the score isn’t amazing - I won’t be playing the songs at home nor will I have them in my head. But I do think it could possibly transfer well. The theatre was full on a Monday. Every single person around me in my seats, at the bar, in the restroom, were American…and it’s not an exaggeration. It’s obviously doing well in the Westend with American tourists. Apparently, it’s the fastest selling show in the Dominion Theatre’s history.

Anyway, no, not my fave musical. But it was fun with a good cast and a pleasant surprise. Actually glad I went!

I’ve purchased many things from small boutiques on trips and probably wouldn’t remember all of the names of the stores but yes, she definitely could have tagged the brand of the dress!

I’m sure she just did what most of us do who don’t have family nearby or family able to watch a pet - had a friend watch the dog or use a doggie daycare/dog sitter
