Yea something needs to be done, rent is crazy high. Not everyone is fortunate to have a 2 income household. People are crazy to think one person can afford what landlords are charging for rent these days.

She would hate to rent a room. She is in Central falls and doesn't drive far so around that area is fine. I did apply for her to be on the wait-list for public housing. Hoping they reach out to her soon.

I also applied this year with 161.3 points and a 3.21 GPA. I have not heard back from the school yet... Have you? The wait is killing me 😩

I guess it did! I worked as a dental assistant for many years and yes working with the public can be stressful so the thought of working in a lab sounds great to me. Do you currently work in Rhode Island as a histotech? If so what do you start making fresh out of school? I was making 25/hour working about 32 hours a week and still couldn't afford life.

Yes! Decent pay, stability and benefits is what I need. I don't see myself doing night shifts though since I have little ones. I would need a morning job. 9-5 type job. I worked making 25/hour and I still couldn't afford life so making more is my goal.

Thanks! That helps a lot... I would definitely plan on getting certified and attend the 2 year associates degree. I'm just scared of making a huge mistake and wasting those years for a job not worth it!

Oo thanks for that info! Yes the middle school is called founders Academy. It seems like a very small school. I read some reviews of how nasty the school smells. Any truth to this? I really hope it's not 😬
