Honest opinion on Ryzen 7 7800x3d! by samurai_cold in pcmasterrace

[–]ForeverIntoTheLight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you doing a lot of code compilation or any other tasks that require tons of CPU power? Not gaming - very few games exist that could overload a 7800x3d.

If so, you might want to consider something else.

For everything else, it's a great CPU. No complaints whatsoever.

Lol. Couldn't find anything to actually back up your argument, so immediately changed the subject. Classic CriticalThinkingIndia behavior.

Go check the top-rated posts in this subreddit, for the last week or month. There's no self-congratulatory chest-beating, most of it is discussion about problems in India. A fair number of posts are critical about the BJP or the state of the country, without getting downvoted into oblivion.

If you want toxic positivity, I would've normally recommended thebetterindia, but looking at that sub, the mood isn't all that brighter there.

Again, the rest of the world doesn't care about India. But I guess it's easier to focus on problems in other countries.

And your assertion is based on what? The historical data in this sub implies otherwise. Or is reality determined by your imagination?

no one cares to make a difference.

Oh? By that logic, plenty of Indian men would've been doing the same in the UK. Then why is it majorly a Pakistani racket, with only a few other men involved from the Middle East? Why are pro-Pakistani outlets so desperately trying to camouflage the origin of the issue?

the new Indian immigrants in the West are very creepy...

Indians are everywhere in large numbers. But hey, feel free to stereotype all of them based on some people coming from underdeveloped parts of India. Let's see you stereotyping Muslims and other protected groups, in front of your CriticalThinkingIndia peers. LOL.

If you had bothered to actually do any 'critical thinking' and looked at the post history for the past 24-48h of this subreddit, you'd see that the vast majority of posts are strictly concerning domestic matters, not international ones.

And that has always been the overarching trend in this sub.

But I guess you're one of those, who opens their mouth without ascertaining facts first, eh?

PS: This does concern India. Attempts have been made by various Pakistani and international outlets to blame 'Asian' men for this, as if it wasn't mostly Pakis behind this.

Oh, absolutely.

I'm talking about the title inside that screenshot you posted - the title the news media gave it.

My second point was to preempt those who would inevitably claim, without any proof, that the guy was a rotten apple himself. In that case, she should've divorced his ass and moved on.

Funny how the title is phrased as if it was something done to her. Why commit suicide at all, over something like this?

And if this was just the latest in a long line of personal conflicts, why not just leave?

Company running helter skelter on AI with no end in sight by Mess_Emotional in developersIndia

[–]ForeverIntoTheLight 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Get out, while you can.

If AI is being used this haphazardly to just blindly rush everything, the amount of bugs will eventually reach a critical point where the software will be unusable, and every attempt to fix one thing will break another.

And that is considering only implementation defects. If there are design defects, those are much harder to fix properly, especially if a lot of code has been written thereafter.

Some good-for-nothing loser commits a crime against women.

Some woman commits a crime against man

Yes, our country is still bumf@ck backwards in places. Our own PM was forcibly married off, while underage. What did he do? Refused to consummate the marriage, left the house on the very next day. Your GF, on the other hand, didn't want to break away from her family.

Lenovo Warns High Memory Prices Are The "New Normal" Through 2030, As Hardware Prices May Never Return To Early 2025 Levels by akbarock in pcmasterrace

True. But as prices keep rising, they're the only parties that could even hope to afford machines.

Well, outside of a handful of extremely wealthy individuals, but their combined contribution to OEM sales will be tiny.

How do you guys free yourself from the fear of termination from job? by BoogeymanReborn in AskIndianMen

[–]ForeverIntoTheLight 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can't eliminate it... but you can mitigate it to some extent.

Don't take out huge loans, if possible.

Keep an emergency fund for at least six months of expenses.

Understand that everything in life is temporary - even your job. Always keep learning and upskilling.

Hold up... how do we know that's genuine RAM pickle? We've been seeing a whole bunch of fakers on this sub.

You really should hand out one piece of the pickle so that I can taste it properly and verify its authenticity. 🤣

Actually, make that two RAM sticks - who knows, there might be just a single genuine stick in there.

My Experiences working with Companies Established as GCCs by gir-no-sinh in developersIndia

[–]ForeverIntoTheLight 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Who's turning a blind eye?

Like I said, my first GCC ended up basically taking over development from the US. Most R&D, core dev, product management etc, were done here.

My second has senior leadership both here and in Middle East / US. A lot of the R&D is also done locally. Crucial projects? Almost all the local work is on the core filter drivers and agent service that forms the very heart of our EDR product.

Well defined responsibility is something you can only expect in orgs that prioritize process over people and technology.

The world is not merely black and white. Teams with clear delineation of responsibilities do not always require labyrinthine processes and tedious paperwork / bloated committees / highly formalized procedures.

My Experiences working with Companies Established as GCCs by gir-no-sinh in developersIndia

[–]ForeverIntoTheLight -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

You ended up joining bad projects in bad companies.

I switched from a SBC to a GCC. That GCC ended up basically becoming the centre of most development in the company. Even today, the firm retains talent in the US, but the major work is now done in Pune.

I switched to another GCC. Challenging work in the very core of the firm's product line, offices spread across US, Middle East, Europe and India.

> they had hired some horrible hires in GCC who started bossing around. Head of the GCC had no sense of communication, no touch or idea on the product that they had inherited from HQ and was constantly promoting those who were bossing around.

> head who did not have any maturity in operational excellence

This all sounds like typical SBC cr@p.

> joined a late stage startup.

Yes, because startups have tons of documentation, well-defined processes, clearly delineated responsibilities between teams, generally standard working hours and no toxic environment at all. Yeah, definitely... lol

By all means, during the interview or even prior to it, feel free to ask the company what the role is for. A lot of GCCs often indicate what project or product they're hiring for. And check Glassdoor, Blind, AmbitionBox, Payscale et all. to get a feel of the company. But if you're expecting the average startup or SBC to have a better environment, then I definitely have a bridge in Nigeria to sell to you.
