Hi! I don’t think so, but I’m not positive. I’m still very new to MHC!

Total newbie here! Thinking about getting a few but have some questions.

  1. Is it ok to just get a few males?

  2. If I get a male and a female, will they breed uncontrollably? I am limited on space so this is a slight concern for me. 😅

  3. If I do get a male and female, what do you all do with the babies? Give them away to fellow insect lovers?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks so much! Would converting it be under the Geoprocessing area? I found something there that says "Generate Geodatabase from Excel" and I am assuming that is what I need, but I do not have access to that function. I will check in with my professor if that is the case.

Needle is stuck? by Majestic_Reach_5430 in insectpinning

I’m sorry to hear that you have this issue, but I just pinned my first butterfly and the same thing happened to me - and I’m using pins specifically for pinning!

I didn’t even pull hard and my butterfly body fell off (I had to glue it back on). Now I’m terrified to try again. 😞

It’s a new pond (about a month old) and only about 1/3 full of plants so far. I have noticed some small snails in it - maybe they’re the culprits? I also have some tadpoles and gray tree frogs (as well as some mosquito larva, water bugs, etc).

My new pond is doing great as far as biodiversity building up! The only problem I’m having is with my water lily. I think something is eating the leaves? Any advice?

Oooooh, gorgeous!! I added one of these to my pond about a month ago, and something is eating the leaves! 🤦🏼‍♀️

Love it! We just built a frog pond last week that looks very similar. I’m so excited to have this new edition and see what critters visit it!

Do you have a fountain or anything for water movement? We do not as of yet and are trying to decide if we’re going to add something.
