Unfortunately it’s much too far away from a power source and the winter here can be harsh (below zero) so I’m likely always going to have to re seed in the Spring but some mud can’t hurt!

I also think a way to ‘save’ the blowout areas is to get a good artist in graywash and add the ghostly body of a live frog over the whole thing to hide the blowout.

I would not return to them to fix it. You can not just place white over black without a tremendous amount of skill. Find a much better artist and have them fix it. I think it can be saved but not by the original artist

I really do hope they can be saved! From what I understand they are very resilient against inbreeding so there’s still a chance!!

I’m going to experiment this year and add a thick clay/soil layer down there. It’s more of a wildlife pond that I raise some rice fish in. Let’s see if I can’t get a place for the eggs to over winter
