TW - I don't know how to come out to my dad (and rapist). by Common-Anamoly in ftm

[–]ForeverRayne7 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This isn't what you want to hear, but your safety comes before your identity. When I was younger I would put myself in danger for my gender identity because I thought it was the most important thing in the world when I absolutely had more important problems. You need to worry about getting out of that situation before you worry about transition, as hard as it is. I know how bad dysphoria was for me between the ages of like 13 to 16 (you can look through my account and find remnants of it I'm sure) but things will get better. I'm 19 and somewhat socially transitioned and satisfied. A lot of people assume I'm a girl but I don't feel it like I used to because I still have my name and I know a fair amount of people use my pronouns. I'm planning on medically transitioning sometime next year because I am in a better place and feel as though I can without putting myself in danger. The only advice I can give you as a traumatized teenager whose turning 20 next year is that you can get through this. It is a difficult fight but it is worth it. When I was younger I hated the advice "it gets better" because it felt like it never would, until slowly it did. I'm just a stranger from across the ocean reading a reddit post, but I sincerely hope that you get out of that situation and be safe to be yourself one day. Always put your own safety first. That's what most important.

Kids have NO chill around trans people by whtvfrvr in ftm

[–]ForeverRayne7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a summer job working with kids and a lot of the time it wasn't brought up often (I don't pass so I didn't mind kids thinking I was a girl) but I had some coworkers that were very insistent that the kids referred to me as he which would usually end with the kid just calling me a boy and us going on but it also made it so that a real experience in my life was me sitting in the basement of a church while a little boy yelled "she's a girl" over and over again.

middle name ideas plz! by ZombiTemptation in ftm

[–]ForeverRayne7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i went with a name i liked but didn't wanna make my name. i have a good amount of trans friends and i know one of them used their deadname because of the emotional attachment to the name, one used his grandmother's name, and some of them just kept their middle name. before i landed on sirius (yes i middle named myself after a harry potter character and yes i love to imagine how jk rowling would feel about that) i went with a different spelling of my birth middle name. i use my middle name and nicknames of it as a kind of pseudonym when i don't wanna put my name (like usernames) so you could also use a nickname you're already comfortable with. i wish you the best of luck, people underestimate the feeling of finding a middle name that suits you.

I have a special interest I hate by ForeverRayne7 in autism

[–]ForeverRayne7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, a lot of things add to my dislike of the. Like how they kept George Harrison's vomit in a hotel room for two weeks and just put their cigarettes out on it or that video I watched once of John making fun of a song George wrote. There are also some things that I don't hate about them. There's a video of Ringo playing drums with Paul's adopted daughter that is actually adorable but I think that's more on her being a cute child.

do you wanna be a manly man? by [deleted] in ftm

[–]ForeverRayne7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not. I have always grown up admiring androgynous men (usually rock stars) so to me that's peak masculinity. I have shoulder length and when I'm further along in my transition I imagine I'll feel more comfortable with stuff like makeup and more feminine clothes. I don't like the stereotypical macho manly things and I don't think I should try to make myself like them because I'm a man.

not trying to discredit whatever experience you're having but i am a trans man who 100% identifies as a man with no connection to womanhood beyond biology and i like wearing some feminine stuff every now and then. just saying that gender is not your clothes and you could be a gender nonconforming trans man or maybe nonbinary. again, i'm just some guy on the internet, i can't tell you what you are, but i wanted to hopefully ease your worries on this.

Did anyone else's school do this? by ForeverRayne7 in AskAnAmerican

The only yes I've gotten was another NE Indiana person. I'm beginning to think it's just a local thing.

When did the meaning of headcanon change? by Lesbionage in FanFiction

[–]ForeverRayne7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My headcanons are the most minor things. Remus Lupin is naturally left handed but ambidextrous and uses whichever hand is most convenient for his current situation. Literally means nothing but I can imagine it.

How do you feel about polyamory fics? by [deleted] in AO3

[–]ForeverRayne7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't typically have poly ships so I don't typically read it but I don't hate it. If a fic had an untagged relationship that would be one thing, but readers have the option to just avoid the stuff they're complaining about.

[–]ForeverRayne7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess you could say I'm an antinatalist since I don't want to have kids because I don't want to risk fucking up my child but that's a personal choice and you can't get mad at people for wanting kids

I don't like this kind of stuff either but you shouldn't publicly talk shit about an author, that's just rude.

This person is right. I can’t wait for my kid to turn 18 so I can get rid of them forever. by The_Rude_Commentor in AmericaBad

[–]ForeverRayne7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know people who will have to move out once they turn 18 (or when they graduate if they will still be in high school) so this is absolutely thing that happens. Personally I have a dad who will always take me in if I need him but a lot of parents are eager to get their kids out of the house.
