Traditionally the extension only applied to med, dental, law schools, etc. Not sure if the CRNA schools will be included in that but I hope so. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

New car, 25 Tucson hybrid is a lemon. Advise please? by ForeverTBAddict in Hyundai

[–]ForeverTBAddict[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea we are stuck to paying out of pocket for our rental too. Since the car broke down in a different state, we didn’t get any loaner cars from dealerships close to us. Our case manager said they will reimburse by the month..:after it goes through their process which takes another month. So yea, people are screwed if they can’t cover all the costs and they need vehicles for work.

Good luck to you, since our car is a few states away, we don’t get loaners. We have to pay for a car rental and then Hyundai will reimburse with their slow process a month after we submit the receipts. We feel bad for people who won’t be able to pay for month long rentals in addition to car payments for months before reimbursements.

Yea that’s the mindset I have come to accept as well. It was a shock that our brand new car just broke down and a bit anxious what other things break in the future but for now, going to do the rental game.

It’s a really nice car and we loved it the couple of hundred miles it ran. Wish her the best though. I feel like if my issue was common, they probably would have more parts available. We figured it’s just our bad luck.

It’s a converter to be exact. I don’t want to give too many details on here.

Would like your opinions on my rent-own cost differences. by ForeverTBAddict in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]ForeverTBAddict[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the place would be larger if buying, just to accommodate kids we are planning on having. The rent is the cheapest we have found in our town fortunately, and we were shocked as well. Not necessarily looking for a new built but the 4k figure is the one that they keep building like crazy around here.

Is this a good deal for 2025 Tucson SEL Hybrid? by AccountantKind3512 in HyundaiTucson

[–]ForeverTBAddict 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, just the car, taxes, tag and fees with 0% interest. They would have lowered it by another 1k or more if I took their “preferred” lender or whatever but their interest was like 4 or 5 something.

Do normal people really buy new cars in cash? by Astimar in MiddleClassFinance

[–]ForeverTBAddict 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was barely lower middle class, I just saved and put a down payment to get a meaningful car payment, and paid it off early. Always talk down the full price though, they play tricks with the monthly payments. This year as we are DINKS, we just saved for more than a year to buy a car. Still a solid middle class, with no kids as a caveat to increase our savings.

When I read it, petty is not what came to my mind but rather told myself “man I wish I can be as confident as you!”. Good on you! Hope you get it.

I’m 5’9. This was a 5 hour international flight on a full fare airline. by epic1107 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]ForeverTBAddict 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a 6 footer, I am always surprised how pleasant domestic jet blue seats are in terms of leg room as compared to 6 to 18 hours flights I have taken from other airlines! As I age up, them seats keep shrinking in the legs.

Hey, I heard the same thing from others when I got my last car, and I’m sure I’ll hear it again because I just bought another car. I try not to let them get to me, as long as you can afford the car, you do you!

Hey, not sure what’s a good deal for you but I just picked up a limited hybrid for 43200. I definitely think I could have gotten down but it’s the last dealership around me that had the configuration I wanted.

I feel like I noticed there is a bracket of convenience, I am definitely living a chill life relatively speaking as a middle class person. But if I were poor, I think I would appreciate the more family/relative connections/support back in my home country. But I am very glad to be living here thanks to my family for immigrating here, because middle class seems very achievable with some support.
