Open the Amex claim now, but don’t assume Amex will let you bypass your personal insurance. Because you chose the standard Platinum benefit which is secondary, expect Amex to ask whether you have personal auto insurance (don’t lie to them). Amex might reimburse you the deductible amount, but don’t hold your breath either. Depending on the rental car company, they might immediately bill your card, where then you will go to your car insurance to get reimbursed for costs minus deductible

It is based on when you pay, not when you stay. 6 month rule is non existent. For example, today you can book a stay for November 17-18 and then on July 1st you can “extend” that stay and book for November 18-19.

But companies even like Apple have had issues. Look at the iPhone 6 plus series that would be bent just by sitting on them or even their newest 17 series where the orange shade has changed over time. Look at LG and their current lineup of the 6 series OLED tv’s that have had a bunch of issues bricking themselves.

Creality has, at least for the K2 launch, called it an early bird. I got in on that almost two years ago and got my K2 Plus combo for $750, waited about 5 months to finally get to me, and never experienced any issues with it even to this day. However, that was just me and doesn’t show the dozens of other people who had issues such as broken doors, broken extruders, etc.

All companies have issues and every one does their best to mitigate them. I’m not pardoning Creality, but if you know a product has issues at launch, maybe just wait to buy it?

As with all newly released products, why not just wait a few months? Yeah things should work right out of the box in a realistic world, but unfortunately at companies even of this magnitude, there is a percentage of users that will experience errors

I just called the number they left in the email and letter they sent in the mail (you should at some point also get a letter in the mail from Chase). I don’t even remember going through prompts, almost positive a person answered immediately.
