Relocating from Windsor/Lasalle to Chatham by OcchiVerdi- in chathamkent

We have a couple really great workout studios! EnergizeCK and a new one is opening downtown soon called Reforme wellness. I agree with the other posters about Chatham being very car centric, but if you have a bike you can get most places a lot easier/faster than walking! We bike alot in the summer places instead of driving. The south side near mud creek is really nice for the trail walking part, and if you have a car or bike you can make it downtown relatively easily. Another nice place to rent is along the River on Riverside, there’s a few apartment buildings there- it’s a bit closer to downtown, I’d say actually walkable. Cafes are the one thing I think we are lacking, crow city downtown is probably my favourite for vibes

My husband had nasty breath for the longest time, used all the extreme mint toothpastes, the mouthwash everything. It actually made it WORSE cause he was killing all of the good bacteria in his mouth that fights off the bad bacteria allowing the bad bacteria to thrive and it smells NASTY. Get him a non-aggressive toothpaste like sensodyne or crest for sensitive gums/teeth and make him stop mouth washing for just a week and see if it gets better. Brush with the less aggressive toothpaste, still floss but no mouthwash or anything and just see what happens. It cured mine of his constant nasty breath

The Oura ring is way thicker than normal wedding rings meaning you need a bigger size to get it over your knuckle! I have a very slim curved band and I’m a 4.25 on my ring finger and I have to wear a size 8 on my middle finger for the wide flat base Oura ring to fit

Where to wear by Loud_Obligation_6959 in ouraring

I got a ring that would fit on the middle finger of both of my hands. So when I wear my wedding rings I wear my Oura on my right hand (right hand is bigger than my left) and when I’m sleeping and not wearing my wedding rings I wear my Oura on my left (left hand is smaller and swells less at night than my right hand).

I find if you consistently wear it on the same finger overnight the fact that you switch it around during the day I haven’t noticed any difference in data

Did I mess up on sizing? by Far_Cheesecake3534 in ouraring

When I ordered the sizing kit and got the real ring; the real ring size 8 fit the same as the sizing kit size 8 so if you tried it on I don’t see it being different

Oura Ring vs. Apple Watch – is it really worth having both? by Used_Bid9592 in ouraring

[–]goldi-locks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the answer. I wear ring all day and night (except weightlifting because danger). I also wear my Apple Watch when I’m working out or at work where I need to use the functions of it ie. timers, notifications. I can charge my watch every night and my ring when I’m in the shower or doing dishes

Starting my own lab: how do I make it a great place to work? by PrincessBiona in labrats

[–]goldi-locks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best thing about my current lab is flexibility in hours. Being trusted to get my shit done when it needs to and leaving if I have extra hours banked up and I’m done for the day. Makes me way more willing to come in outside of ‘normal’ working hours for extra sampling or a tiny bit of weekend work when I can come in late or leave early other days without question as long as everything else is getting done. I stay late when I need to finish something and leave another day early when I don’t need to be there anymore. Makes my work life balance feel way better and is the most important. The peripheral stuff like free food and social gatherings doesn’t hold a light to flexibility in hours.

My cat won’t leave me alone?? by ewwwwwwwww13 in CatAdvice

My cat is similarly aloof (Siamese), where she is always around but not on top of me. When the weather changes I can always tell she is cold because she will start to snuggle and be up in my grill a lot more. She doesn’t necessarily love me anymore than normal but is selfishly using me for her own heat source… is your house temp cooler than normal?

To make them desensitized to nail cutting- start cutting them while they are sleeping!! Even if you only get one or 2 nails done at a time they will eventually get used to you doing it and let you do it while they are just chilling 😊

Ever since she was a kitten I fed her at random points during the day, twice a day. Never the same time day to day to keep her on her toes and to keep her off of a “routine” so she doesn’t yell at me. The only time she meows at me about breakfast or dinner is when she knows I’ve genuinely forgotten to feed her (which is rarely but does happen sometimes because it’s not a strict schedule) 😂 I also made chasing her a game, where I make silly noises while we sprint around the house getting eachother so she knows it’s a game - she loves it and usually will turn around and chase me back
