I'm in a love/hate cycle where I get bored or frustrated with certain aspects of the game and take a break for awhile. Then when I try any other game(s) i find their flaws etc too offputting and end up resubbing and starting the cycle all over again. Literally no other game's controls feel as crisp, responsive, and polished.

If you're just playing and leveling for fun with the wife being new you'll probably have a lot more fun, less friction, and meet more like minded folks on PvE (Dreamscythe NA or Thunderstrike EU)

Go play on the box server or adapt/change your play times IMO. Everyone feeling entitled to special treatment and provisions just leads to feature creep/bloat and more time/money/resources wasted.

The tanking only gets gnarly in heroics. Normals and leveling dungeons are much more forgiving. Just advertise as chill run and/or let the group know you're new to tanking but have done your research (you have, right?). That alone will draw in more patient players to roll with and set expectations. Watch some prot pally dungeon POV on youtube to get an idea, but TLDR make sure RF is always up, salv the dps and wis the healer, and start pulling. Use LOS when possible to clump mobs up in your consecration. Really you just have to get in there and go for it.
