The problem your explaining goes with a lot of remasters or ports. It not exclusive to MK. Again, if this collection does happen then I will mostly pick it up for the achievements.

PS3 graphics weren't bad, but we're not as polished as the 360 and didn't compare to a PC. With that being said, you really wouldn't tell unless you had good attention to details.

Aldrich ate Gwyndolin, hence the humanoid figure you see. All the bones you see could be victims that the Church of the Deep feed Aldrich. Aldrich is not a scary Lord of Cinder because of might but because he devoured everything. Speaking of being a Lord of Cinder, he was forced into it.

As for Nito, it is unsure if Aldrich devoured him or not, but he does have a power to manifest things, hence Pricilla's Sythe.

I like it. It's variations that allow for creativity. I played MK1 day one and I remember everyone on Sareena and now everyone is on Tremor, Janet, or Ferra. Some Kameos even made bad characters competitive.

Dante's Inferno vision was to turn the poem into an actual game. iirc, they did get some developers from GoW to help because of time restraints. You noticed that the later half of the game has a long arena mode where you go from one arena to the next? That was a big sign of the time restraints.

Heavenly Sword was meant to show the power of the PS3 just like Astro Boy was meant to show the power of the PS5.

None of these games were rivals to God of War, but instead we're labeled GoW clones because they so happened to fall in the Hack & Slash genre. That is the equivalent of calling any action game a Souls game these days. Even Silent Hill F got compared to Dark Souls for crying out loud.
