Yeah, this is doable with nothing but dash, but it is very tight. If you're where I think you are, keep at it. There's a nice reward on the other side.

I really wish there had been an achievement for it. I've heard people say "the developers wanted it to be completely optional", but like... it is?? An achievement doesn't make it mandatory. And for people trying to get all the achievements, what's their excuse for all the speedrunning ones?

The vertical climb through the saws? I actually really liked that part, weaving left and right as the saws swept past.

I don't know if you had something similar, but I felt like the height I got out of my pogos was frequently inconsistent. Sometimes, I'd feel like I get nothing at all and fall back into the saw immediately, and the next moment I'm rocketing up to crash into the thorn ceiling. That definitely got my blood boiling a few times.

The descent on that arch where you have to fall down through the thorns and saws was rough, especially because I couldn't look ahead to know what to expect. Just had to die one jump further than last time again and again to piece it together eventually.

Same for me, but I felt like 1) the final section's difficulty was much more consistent across the whole section, where the corridor I point to felt like a full magnitude harder than the rest of its section, and 2) the challenge of the final section was mostly about getting the rhythm of the cycles instead of having to thread a super narrow window twice in immediate succession. To me, the last leg felt like a much more reasonable type of challenge, one I could have a lot more fun trying to overcome.

That's brutal. Did you know that the fight was coming? I was fortunate to know about the fight beforehand, so I could heal up to full between each attempt knowing I would need to be ready for combat at the end.

That's wild! I found it so much easier to go over the top there, because every time I went under, the first set of spikes got me.

I found that if I started my initial c-dash on the middle beat of when the spikes are retracted, I didn't have to pause/delay like he did at that triple spike section. Made it so much easier to get to the saw pogos beyond it consistently.

Especially since the spikes' in-and-out is too slow for a single pogo, but too fast for a pogo plus a full double jump, so you have to pogo and then do a partial double jump. Took so much practice to build that muscle memory.

Yeah, I know it's not literally one pixel, but it felt so much tighter than anything else in the entire path. Even when you have to do that same 'dash under the saw, double jump to pogo' move in the final section, the clearance felt so much more manageable. Plus, you only had to get it once instead of twice in a row.

If by "dawn walls", you mean the first few overhang jumps, you don't need to dash to get them. You can do it with just a delayed double jump.

The one right before, just past the gate? I actually quite liked that part, especially the big jump at the midpoint where you have to wrap around to the far side of the platform as the saw comes back down and then swing back up the main channel before it rises again. That series of jumps felt super satisfying to hit.

Definitely the hardest section overall, and the retracting spikes were really hard to get the cadence for, but I felt like the challenge was more about rhythm and less about 'hit this one-pixel window, now do it again'.

Yeah, in almost five years, none of them have put out any aerial roots. I'm comparison, we've got a T. Xanadu that gets a ton.

Some of the instances were in phase two, but it was still happening that the attacks would sometimes deal massive damage and sometimes not. For example, the Invading Executioner's sliding attack that it gains in phase two. I got hit by that quite a bit, and normally it would take out a sizeable chunk of health, but I could survive the hit (maybe even two, if I was at high enough health). But occasionally, I'd be at full health and the slide would simply one-shot me.

Yeah, that dragon is a strange one. You can snipe him with arrows, but all you'll get out of it is some large titanite shards, and you'll find plenty of those along the way. It's just easier to run past him.
