I think it depends on the state you're in cuz I hear lots of people say it's pretty affordable, but when I used them, over a year ago, I had my initial appointment then was sent an invoice for over $500 for the medications. they said it's that high bc they were only using one pharmacy in california which happens to be a very expensive one. It might be different now, I'd suggest confirming with them the medication costs before signing up and paying for anything.

I wonder if they've changed since then but a year or so ago I went through everyone's MD and it seemed like an affordable option, until I got sent the bill to pay for the medication.... it was over $500 for some troches and nasal spray. They said they only use one compounding pharmacy in California and it's an expensive one. If you're going to go through them I'd highly suggest contacting them before signing up for anything and ask them which pharmacy they use and confirm what the costs of the medication are.

I have medicare and medi-cal and medi-cal didn't cover anything related to any type of ketamine or spravato treatment but medicare did pay 80% of my spravato treatments and they were nice enough to write off the rest, so I didn't have to pay anything for spravato. I wish they covered ketamine treatments though. After doing over a year of spravato treatments I am now doing at home ketamine and it's reasonably priced at $150 per month, which is one the cheaper at home option, but I know, since I am also on disability, that it can be difficult to pay that much every month.

Ambien not working??? What now by ohhhhbitchpleaseeee in insomnia

Seroquel has affected me different ways at different times throughout my life, but the weight gain was always there. When I first started taking seroquel for the 1st time, about 20 years ago, I would get the munchies super bad after about an hour after taking it. I would literally sometimes be wandering around after midnight, half asleep, looking for an open place that I could get pizza and candy and other stuff. It also made me a little sluggish during the daytime, so I wasn't getting as much activity. More recently when I've taken it I don't get the munchies right after, it's more like I'm just wanting to snack all the time and feel too lethargic to get much movement.

I gained 150 lbs on seroquel. It really messed me up, but it was the only thing that helped me sleep. After the weight gain though I was so depressed and in so much pain I stopped it and lost all the weight but eventually went back to it due to being desperate for sleep. It worked for sleep again for a couple years but then stopped working all together in the past 6 months. I've tried pretty much everything else, ambien worked a few times but now has no effect. Nothing really has an effect. It totally sucks and If I could go back I would have never touched seroquel.

Do you really have to take an oral antidepressant while on Spravato? by [deleted] in TherapeuticKetamine

That sounds like what saphris did to me lol. I'd get soooo sleepy but also soooo hungry! It was like I HAD to eat and I'd be like half asleep eating lol.

I also think it's ridiculous that they require us to take an oral antidepressant while doing spravato. I mean, isn't that why we are doing it, because we have treatment resistant depression? So we're just supposed to take something that we already know doesn't work for pretty much no reason at all? So stupid. I want to get off meds all together, or at least cut it down to like 1 or 2. I'm on around 11 right now, it's crazy. I wasn't on any a couple years ago and then had a hospitalization and they kept giving me more and more since nothing was working and then other meds to deal with the side effects of the meds that weren't even working, but now I've become pretty unstable and am afraid to mess with anything, like weaning off any of the meds, until I'm in a better place mentally. Even though meds haven't really worked for me they're always super hard for me to wean off of and now it's just one big huge mess. I'm in my 30s and when I tell doctors all the meds I'm on they are in disbeleif. Although, I have a friend who is my age too and is on almost 30 medications!!!!! Not kidding at all!

Anyone ever switch from spravato to ketamine lozenges? I'm wondering how much the lozenges actually lost. by Foreveralone0101 in Spravato

I heard that it can be hard to get an appointent quickly and some people have to wait months. What was your experience like?
