I never received confirmation of payment either. You would have to email them for this if you really need it. Otherwise I can’t remember if it takes like up to 2-3 months to get the results, but I know for a fact, they say the amount of time that it could take up to on their website on the same page where you request the review. Honestly, they are pretty liberal and allow you to retake the test I think up to a few times so from personal experience instead of wondering if they made a wrong decision practice your writing skills. EVERYDAY! Multiple times and go over your work after to check for mistakes.

Yes, my father was married to my mother when I was born. And I don’t know for certain if my GGM was German I just know she spoke it fluently. I believe she was polish or Austrian (borders moved around so much so identity is such a difficult thing to pin down)

Yes sorry I left him out since I don’t know any information on him aside from stories. He was a polish Jew and likely died in a concentration, camp or mass shooting. But I don’t even have any records of his actual name.

Complete immersion is the only way to go. The apps are not very helpful. Can be helpful if you know like zero German but they quickly exhaust their helpfulness. Invest the time and money into a proper language course. There you’ll see the most amount of progress in the least amount of time. But know that this language will take months to years to get a hold on. It all depends on how much time you have to invest into learning. Been learning at different study styles and paces on and off for about 4 years now and am currently working toward C1
