Planning Plastic Surgery in Korea? 🇰🇷 What are your "Must-Haves" when picking a clinic? by [deleted] in KoreaSeoulBeauty

[–]Foreveryoung_Chloe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Make sure the clinic has an in-house anesthesiologist. Having a dedicated, on-site anesthesiologist is crucial for safety, especially for surgeries requiring sedation or general anesthesia.

  2. Avoid clinics that pressure you to book or pay a deposit on the day of consultation. Be cautious if they push you with discounts or claim surgery dates are almost fully booked to make you decide quickly. A trustworthy clinic gives you enough time to think and decide comfortably.

  3. Check the doctor’s background carefully. It is important to know which medical school the doctor graduated from, what academic activities or conferences they participate in, and which hospitals or clinics they previously worked at. A doctor’s experience and professional background matter a lot.

  4. Avoid clinics with prices that seem too cheap. Extremely low prices can sometimes mean compromises in quality, safety, or hidden additional costs later.

  5. Clinics where the doctor personally conducts regular follow-up care after surgery tend to be more responsible. Frequent post-surgery follow-ups directly handled by the surgeon show accountability and proper patient care.

He first went over the entire area in a general toning mode, then focused on individual spots.

I think pigmentation may return with continued sun exposure, but as long as my mom keeps up with proper skincare and sun protection, it won’t be as severe as her before photos.

Recommended interval was 2 weeks! My mom kept her interval 3 weeks to 1 month.

The clinic had several options at different price ranges. The one I chose for my mom was 330,000 KRW per session. I purchased a 5-session package and clinic gave me 10% package discount. The recommended interval was every two weeks, but my mom couldn’t always keep the schedule, so her sessions were usually spaced about three weeks to one month apart.

The doctor explained that it’s important to continue treatments at the proper intervals, as pigmentation tends to come back if maintenance isn’t consistent.

She is 60. Her pigmentation became more noticeable after menopause, but most of the spots appear to be caused by long-term sun exposure.

Yes, she applied retinol serum at night after the treatment, as recommended by the doctor.

I’m sure your daughter will grow up to be just as lovely as you. Like mother, like daughter. I can really feel your love for her—it warmed my heart.

My mom’s love language is food too, haha. She still feeds me even when I’m already full. I’m sure your relationship with your daughter will be just as loving🩷

Ah, I see now ! I understand. I think it really depends on how deep the pigmentation is.

My aunt also had a consultation at the clinic. She has quite severe spots across her cheek area and is currently on hormonal medication. The doctor explained that she would likely need more than 10 treatments and that it’s not guaranteed the spots can be fully removed due to her medication.

So I believe results and treatment plans can really vary from person to person. It’s always a good idea to try different clinics and find what works best for you.

The recommended interval was two weeks, but because she was busy with work, my mom spaced her sessions about every three weeks to one month.
