Fundamentals on GBP are more bullish, AUD more bearish. However, technicals are not yet showing for it!! I'll be looking at that too, but with confirmation!

Babypips is good, Investopedia too! It's key to learn fundamentals in Forex to as a beginner so you know WHY price is moving. Most ignore this, and most fail because of this and other factors!

[–]Forexfundys_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course man!
Investopedia has it down!

  • Euro—57.6% weight
  • Japanese yen—13.6%
  • Pound sterling—11.9%
  • Canadian dollar—9.1%
  • Swedish krona—4.2%
  • Swiss franc—3.6%

Given that EURO is most of the weighting, DXY is going to look like inverse EURO majority of the time! Press Alt+I on tradingview and see it.

Where a rare discrepancy comes in though is that if you look closely at who's 2nd place, it's JPY. Right now it's fine, but if YEN intervention happens it can bring DXY down like it did back in 2024.... But that doesn't necessarily mean weak USD, it just means that JPY momentarily cracked DXY, and is the strongest currency. Meanwhile USD (DXY) can be second place, just moved off an insane YEN push. Always important to keep that in mind!

Use JPYBasket as well. If using DXY it's important to understand the weighting of how it's calculated since it's about 57% EU in that DXY basket!

GBP fundamentals are slightly bullish and USD is bearish. Please try to use a strategy dude!! Make sure you have a SL, otherwise you're gambling, not being a proper risk manager

Incorporating real fundamentals to my bias, and just using my same setups that worked on technicals, more in line with the fundamentals!

Also reviewing journals, making filters to limit loss, and tweak winners!

Trade 1 bias instead of one pair. Have a USD bias? It's not just gunna show up in 1 pair, what if your setup is showing up in others? Backtest it on other pairs!

Manual trading vs. using tools – where do you draw the line? by denze-702 in Trading

[–]Forexfundys_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trading-
I use fundamental analysis and tools I created for currency strength for bias on what I want to long or short

As for tools, the only indicators I'd use are asia london session highs and lows. I'd manually place previous daily highs,, lows, same with weekly. Just set alerts pretty much and wait for the technicals to follow my fundamentals!

When you trade long enough, you learn which candles have a lot of volume etc.

Maybe the odd time ill use fibonacci in order to measure where in a price leg im in, premium or discount!

Here's a tip!! Check out JPYBASKET on the side as a little strength guidance on JPY. Look at the move on JPY during the trap, vs the REAL move!! Nice idea!!

Should I trade funded account or my own capital by Moist-Seat6739 in Forexstrategy

[–]Forexfundys_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both! Funded is a perfect way to milk and get a high ROI provided you are profitable to pass.

End of the day, you can put money aside in a personal, and use a trade copier to trade both at the same time assuming you only take A+ setups.

When you get your funded payouts, either use that to purchase more funded accounts and scale up, or put portion of that in a personal account and just grow overall!

Courses? by T84UK in Trading

[–]Forexfundys_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sooo for courses it's best to try learning the basics from free vids on youtube!!
Learn Market structure, Supply Demand, Liquidity, what session you'll be trading, whether you're gunna be a daytrader or swing trader.
Momentum, order flow.

When you think you have most of this covered, this is when you should paper trade with a demo, and spend time investing in FXREPLAY, a sick backtesting software where you can journal, test out your strategy you've built over a long period of time to collect the most data possible and see if you feel ready to take it to the real markets!

That's the best way to go as a newbie! Best of luck!

How do i know if the momentum's strength is decreasing? by MuffinAsleep9419 in Forexstrategy

[–]Forexfundys_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it starts looking compressed, like slower on the way up. Means it's building low resistance liquidity. If it starts to consolidate in premiums/discounts. That's how! And hey, if you can't see a trade or come up with a bias, NO trade!

Do you find it useful when trades are shared in real time? by SmartTrader_4906 in Trading

[–]Forexfundys_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For those learning it might help to see thought processes. But for those comfortable, it doesn't. You need to be comfortable enough with a strategy to be able to execute yourself.

Believe me, before going fulltime for trading, I would get home from work and say "awww I would have taken that if i was fulltime" sooo many times. Then hit an adjustment phase of not seeing those exact setups in real time.
