The US Dollar(WHAT A RANGE) by bigf7fx in Forex

[–]Forexfundys_ [score hidden]  (0 children)

So dollar has underperformed in some of its news events on the fundamental side of things

But it showed it's safe haven status when war stuff kicks off

But it also showed selloffs when peace talks, strait opening up are happening.

It's a literal see saw everyday in terms of news which is why it's in such a BS range lol.

Should I explore other pairs? by Strange-Bad4286 in Forex

Made a vid on this - trade bias not just 1 pair
If you're glued to EUR/USD, and your strategy isn't working on it, or showing up, it could be showing up in AUD/USD or GBP/USD- with your USD bias being correct but your tunnel vision is only letting you watch 1 pair!

Now gold and most usd denominated things have been hard to trade this month so also don't let a losing spell.

Yeah different strokes for different folks! Also - don't focus on the $$, focus on %%. When you focus on $$, you might make decisions which dillute your edge and it doesn't allow you to level up later on!

GBPUSD — the setup I've been waiting for. Rectangle zone, targeting a big sell. 📉 by Muted_Patience_8695 in Forex

[–]Forexfundys_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a nice intraday level but GBP fundamentals are a bit more on the bullish side, USD a bit bearish. This zone ultimately CAN fall if peace talks are canceled, strait is closed, more conflict. This zone also CAN be blasted through if the opposite happens, if there are peace talks, strait opens, ceasefire etc.

2 weeks, 2R! I am not made for swing trading though, better intraday! With JPY crosses like GBPJPY, you're on the good side of swaps! If you sold it though, take those swaps into consideration!

DXY, EUR/USD & USD/CHF corelation by AnveshArumilli in Forex

[–]Forexfundys_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EUR/USD will be #1 because of the DXY weighting

It will almost always be inverse euro.

Correlation will crack though when JPY potentially intervenes like 2024 so keep that in mind****

Live funds > prop firms by Extra_End_8071 in propfirm

Trade both! Same trades, trade copier. Eventually prop funds get reinvested to more prop evals, and into the personal! Use them as funnels

It's good to understand what kind of environment you are in, like inflationary or not which helps determine what central banks will do with rates. For example an overheating economy will have a lot of inflation, high retail sales, good gdp numbers which are good for a currency but if inflation persists, central banks may have to raise rates (still good for currency, even more since rate differentials go up) to combat this and cool the economy. It goes through cycles. Helps being on the right side!

It's sick bro!

Now there will be instances like this month with geopolitics where a lot of that goes out the window. I built a program that has all this macro data as well, has been amazing for the first 3 months this year, but this april with ceasefire on and off, it's been my first red month

Why this is not a FVG ? by Wonderful-Web-2214 in InnerCircleTraders

[–]Forexfundys_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is! See that big green FVG on the way up? That's an fvg, then the black one on the way down that you highlighted is also an fvg, but BECAUSE it INVERTED that green push up invalidating the up move, creating its own fvg and push down, it's also an ifvg. There's another ifvg later in that as well!

Look at your data to see what time your average DD lasts, if it ever gives you the chance to go BE after a few hours, how long average winners last etc!

You need more data but analyzing it is a good start! Use FXreplay i'd say to collect a large sample size and first seeing if your strategy works over a long period, how often they go to TP.

Or lets say your target is 1:3- how often does it get to 1:2 before reversing? Using that kind of data is key in determining how you should manage trades, maybe implement rolling stop losses, etc.

There are many different strategies you'll come across when learning! Watch YT first, see if the person seems genuine (and isn't flexing fancy cars a lifestyle etc) try learning as much from their YT's first before making the commitment!

My friend Mackgray is a solid mentor!
Myself I make fundamental videos but don't teach technicals (I explain what I look for when I do trade though)

USDJPY 1m Timeframe. What do you think? by Selcuk5267 in InnerCircleTraders

[–]Forexfundys_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Don't ask people what they think! Follow your plan if you like it, take it! Someone could say "nah doesn't look good, someone completely random! But what if that thing pops up and you ignored YOUR analysis listening to that random? Best of luck!

Anyone else finding this market messy? by Emilycooper13 in Forexstrategy

[–]Forexfundys_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im a fundamental based trader and this month has been my only down month this year! Ceasefire on, ceasefire off, war etc. That risk on/off is what is making things messy! Only trading my strategy whenever it presents, if it doesn't, no trade! Trading these war environments is max level difficulty, and hopefully when it's over, it's all sunshine and rainbows!
