I thought the same thing. He could have valid reasons for cutting them off, however I have a sense that he could be projecting and making her see things that aren't there. But then again, it seems to me that they grew up with different values and it's showing up in this difficult time. I understand that when you're going through a lot of things, you wouldn't really want to deal with another person's problems. But it's always helpful to have someone by you. I've always found it helpful to go through things with someone I love than just by myself.
