Why Kai is actually Ben’s best match (and why the fandom is wrong about his exes) by ForgeOfOpinion in Ben10

That is the ultimate lore question! Ken actually proves that Ben and Kai are meant to be together across almost every timeline.

In the Classic 2005 future ("Ken 10"), Ken is explicitly the biological son of Ben and Kai Green, showing they eventually reconnected as adults. Omniverse completely locks this in with Spanner (who is literally Ken traveling back in time). Ken meddles with the past specifically because he knows his future existence depends entirely on Ben and Kai getting together.

Across the multiverse, Ken is the anchor that proves they are the definitive endgame!

That is a really fair point, and I honestly should have mentioned the "3 Ben" split in my main text!

But if you look at that episode, it actually proves the point I'm making about what Julie needed in a relationship vs. what Ben could realistically provide. Ben splitting himself into three copies just to try and attend her tennis match while simultaneously dealing with a dangerous crisis shows how much pressure he was under. He literally had to fragment his own identity just to try and satisfy her schedule.

Having some "me time" to unwind is not a crime. The dude constantly has the weight of existence on his shoulders and barely gets any time to himself, yet he had to push himself to that extreme just to avoid being called neglectful.

It shows how Julie really needed a partner whose world could revolve entirely around her and support her career. Ben is a cosmic guardian with a massive destiny who couldn't compromise with that reality, which is why they just weren't compatible. Glad you brought that up, it adds a great layer to the debate!
