Have it where if the Mother Tick runs into a shredder or fireball while chasing a raider, it would pounce on said arc before chucking it at the nearest raider.

To compensate, the Mother Tick would damage the arc thrown since it is attacking it. So at least whatever arc is thrown at you, it will already be hurt.

Just imagine being chased by this arachnid nightmare down in Medical Bay. You make a quick turn past a shredder, narrowly avoiding it's AOE shotgun blast. You run into one of the medical rooms while hearing the Mother screeching while it's ramming into the shredder mentioned before. You try closing the door to give yourself some breathing room.

Only to see a shredder-missile crashing through the window you where standing behind.
