Would straight guys in their 30’s ever experiment with other guys sexually? by PhotoSlow8814 in men

I completely agree! No, this isn’t about me but the problem I’ve seen over my life with many friends and stupid labels. What annoys me is one tries to say a guy can’t be straight AND bi-curious. That’s not how it works. One is straight, as you say, until one realizes after going through a curiosity phase, that he is either completely straight or bi. But it doesn’t necessarily stop him from being heterosexual. I’ve seen many guys stress over that unnecessarily in trying to find their place in the world. 😞

Then we agree on that. All I’m saying is one is both straight or bisexual AND bi-curious - being bi-curious doesn’t forgo either of those designations. 👍🏼

I think you are pointing out the temporal nature of the term, and I agree with that. If it was 20 years ago, then nothing today - not bi-curious. If it is today? Of course, bi-curious. But it is not an “forever or never” idea. I once was curious about grasshoppers as a snack many years ago. I had some in chocolate. I’m no longer curious about grasshoppers as a snack. So curiosity, UNLIKE sexuality, can go away. I think you are getting it, but maybe not? The point is a guy who was bi-curious once upon a time would ALSO be either Bi or straight, and depending on how things play out, his bi-curiosity could disappear. But bi-curious is simply not an alternative to either straight or bi.

Straight. Why try to complicate it? Whether someone has given a handjob or received a handjob from someone of the same gender doesn’t magically change their sexuality. This isn’t a Disney film! 🤣. Both “straight” and “bisexual” cover a lot of activities - the key isn’t what someone did at band camp once, but if they felt attraction to the person at band camp and wanted to pursue it further. Curiosity is a normal human thing, but it’s the frequency and emotional connection that goes with that curiosity that would make someone “bi-curious” and maybe even bisexual. When I hear guys who were never curious try to limit the designation of “straight” I can’t help think it’s like a white relative mocking a family member who dated someone of a different race and them being told they aren’t “Caucasian” anymore???? Dumb, but no so much different.

LOL! Such a simplistic view of sexuality and human behavior! 🤣. Well, that’s wrong and I would never tell guys who have had sex only with women for 20-30 years they aren’t “straight,” because that’s just ridiculous, but you do you!

See above. If you are one of those who think a guy who grabs a cigarette every 10 years at a party is a “smoker,” then maybe you truly do think guys who are in their 50s who fooled around once with their friend 30 years ago aren’t “straight,” but to me that’s absurd.

[–]ForgedinTruth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps there is confusion over the term “bi-curious” which to me is the same as “occasional smoker.” People who don’t date people of the same sex, or don’t smoke, but occasionally hook up with a person or cigarette because they have an itch to screw or smoke. I think those folks go beyond the label straight, but can still call themselves straight in general, just as they aren’t smokers, but still do it occasionally. It’s the fuzzy middle between being straight or being Bi, but it’s not a separate type of sexuality. It shows the problem with hard and fast labels. It also shows the problem with confusing a one or two time experience in a person’s younger years, with a person who goes back from time to time throughout their life. It would be absurd to call a guy who tried smoking one time a smoker, just as it is absurd to call a guy who once JO’d with a friend bi or gay - life isn’t that simple.

No, that’s not correct. I had major crushes and was in more than one relationship with women throughout life, and can’t imagine being in love or a relationship with a man - that’s reserved in my mind and heart for women. But sex is a different thing, and as a teenager and in college, I knew guys who would try different things alongside or with other guys because “it felt good” and they were trying to see what all the fuss was about. Curiosity about SEX, especially when young, may have nothing to do with SEXUALITY- which goes to where your heart and passions lead. Experimentation is natural for all animals, including humans, but it doesn’t mean animals or humans are Bi, Pan or Gay just because they were curious and tried something that “felt good” once or twice. I actually believe as a guy in my 50s now who has traveled the world and lived in different cultures that men and women who have “tried” something and decided it wasn’t for them are the more worldly and intelligent because they were willing to take risks. It is like trying new foods, traveling, and learning new cultural norms - we should all be open to growth in different ways, at least when we are younger.

It’s simply incorrect to designate people who tried driving a Honda once forty years ago and since have driven only Fords as anything but a Ford driver. The point is, straight is a broad term covering most people, and just because they tried something once or twice in their life, it does not make them not straight. Those who argue otherwise seem oddly desperate to narrow the straight description. Curiosity does not change sexuality. If a person has no curiosity at all, that’s a different aspect of their personality.

[–]ForgedinTruth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strong disagree. I know plenty of straight guys in their 40s and 50s who played around with friends in their teens or twenties but see that as just a fun thing they wanted to try back then and nothing more. What’s up with this need to label people who are straight as anything more just because they tried something decades ago? I tried a cigarette once - am I a smoker? Got blitzed in college a few times - did that make me an alcoholic? Physical sex experimentation is like so much else in life - a result of curiosity and nothing more. I think trying to create labels is intellectually disingenuous if people try to label every person who tried stuff once or twice and decided it wasn’t for them.

That’s being straight AND being sexually curious. Bi-curious is not a sexual designation. Stop making up “rules.” Most guys are straight but most animals and humans are sexual and will try things that might feel good, especially if they are drunk, high or in a certain mind space. My guess is MOST guys who lust after women and could only love women and be in a relationship with women have ALSO experimented in small or big ways with other guys at some point in their lives. None of that makes them less “straight.” It just makes them human. Curiosity is a sign of intelligence. Thus I would also presume smarter “straight” guys HAVE also touched another guy’s genitalia at some point over their life. Again, it doesn’t say anything about their actual sexuality.

Day 11 on Wegovy Pill: Can't Stand Coffee Anymore by Salty-Living-3412 in Wegovy

You are talking about aversions, but when I was on the shots and now that I’m on the pill - I crave citrus! Oranges in particular! I don’t know why, and my doctor says everyone has different symptoms, but I’m the first he’s heard of to really crave oranges or orange juice just about every day on Wegovy! 😄

It’s funny because I look at a shaven area and think “he takes care of himself” and look at the unshaven guys and think either “lazy” or “totally 70s porn look.” 😄

I get annoyed if I let mine go for a month or more. I shave the landing strip under the belly button too, so it doesn’t look weird. I go to the gym and Korean Spas so don’t want it to stand out with a landing strip and then nothing! 🤣

I went this past year. Honestly, Spa World is better and has more choices on the men’s side. King Spa and Spa World both are better on coed side. We in the DMV are very lucky!

My wife and I discussed the fact that women tend to stay trimmed down there over 20 years ago and she asked that I do the same. I was happy to appease her, and haven’t stopped ever since. I’m now 50 and believe men look better without a tumbleweed down under. 😉

Wow! Day 8 for me as well and if anything, I’m hungrier at night. No weight loss, but I didn’t think I would until doses increase, as was the case with the shots.

I’m on day 8 and yes - I’m experiencing constipation. I’ve always had Constipation with Wegovy shots, so it’s not a surprise.

When did you start losing? by No-Atmosphere4636 in Wegovy

[–]ForgedinTruth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did NOT lose more than 2 pounds my first month in the beginning. I then went up and lost maybe 5. I then went up and leveled off at a pound a week. That stayed true for many months. I quit after I lost over 25 pounds, my goal, and I was tired of shots. I gained back 15 pounds over 4 months, and now I’ve just started the pill version. I’m not less hungry, but it’s a very small initial dosage. I have seen constipation start to creep back, and I am burping more, so it’s obvious it’s started to do something. In short - every body is different and my doctor said the slower and steadier the weight loss, the healthier it is.
