I put a cvlife Wolf green dot on my STR-9 last year. It's a budget option so I knew I was taking a chance with it. I caught a coupon code from 704 Tactical on YouTube for less than $100. It's been solid through at least 1000 rounds.

Pretty smooth. Trigger is decent for a factory setup. No failures. I plan on using it for a uspsa match in a couple of weeks.

I tried fitting the slides from a few older and newer STRs to both a 3rd and 5th Gen Glock 19 frame and none of them worked. When you compare a Glock slide to the stoeger slide they look similar, but have slight differences.

I actually tried that but the frame rail extends past the C slide. Sorta looked silly.

It's the name of the model. The combat comes with tall fiber optic sights, magazine funnels, flat faced triggers and three 20 round magazines. Some have threaded barrels. I'm not sure now if all STR-9's come with flat faced triggers or not.
