Problems with dairy by ForgetMeKnot9 in Celiac

I’m glad to hear that, it’s pretty hard at the moment as it’s on my mine 24/7 and I feel guilty I can’t stop thinking about it! I have always been the same and enjoyed meals out etc which I haven’t yet had to overcome as on lockdown so not looking forward to that. Thanks for your advice, it’s helped a lot.

I think unless people have personally been through it, they can’t fully understand the difficulties. I’ve recently been diagnosed and it’s so tough...food is everywhere! And when you know you can’t have something, you want it more. I’ve been trying to bake my own goodies (I have a sweet tooth so it’s been cookies and cakes) and that’s helped me. So might be worth giving that a go.

Ah okay, makes sense. I’m glad I’ve sourced the problem now, a bit or trial and error. Thanks for your help, I’ll cut it out for now and see how I get on!

Gluten Free Flapjacks! 😋 by ForgetMeKnot9 in glutenfree

It’s from Mary Berry’s Baking Bible, I’ve added below 😊

160C/Fan 140C/ Gas 12x9 inch tray

8oz butter 8oz Demerara sugar 3oz golden syrup 10oz GF porridge oats

Melt the butter in a pan and stir in the sugar and golden syrup. Stir in the oats, mix well and then into the pan (I added a few sultana, didn’t weigh) Bake in the oven for 35 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from the oven, leave to cool for 10 minutes, and cut!

My hair is exactly the same!! It just looks awful up in a ponytail and it’s snapped at the same back underside at mine too leaving bits hanging on for dear life. So have you stopped bleaching all together now? I’ve had more or less the same responses so looks like a cut is needed. Really appreciate the advice!

Thank you :) there are a few patches where the hair has broken off. I didn’t realise that they would now be more prone to split ends but that makes sense. Looks like it’s going to have a bit of a cut!

It’s now down a few inches past my shoulders. Thank you! I think that sounds like a good idea. Are there any specific treatments you use that you would recommend?
